More Problems for Burzynli Clinic

What does matter to me are his actions and his science. The former range from unethical to despicable and the latter from weak to pseudoscientific, in my opinion.
In my opinion it is despicable to give false hope to a vulnerable family and or individual with cancer. In my opinion it is unethical to funnel money to an unproductive trials. Dr Burzynsli, who runs the clinic, is not allowed to treat people with cancer with his unproven antineoplaston therapy. He is, however, allowed to enroll people in trials. And he does so, and charges them hundreds of thousands of dollars. He has been doing this for over 30 years without producing the substantial evidence from these trials that would convince the scientific community that he has an effective and safe treatment. If Dr. Burzynsli and the clinic want to shut down their critics they need to turn over and publish all data collected over the past 30 years on patients treated for independent peer review to determine if there is a body of evidence to suggest antineoplaston therapy may be worthwhile. Emphasis here on independent peer review as this is the only relevant standard of proof. One has to wonder that if in fact this therapy really worked, why the pharma industry hasnt gone ape over it.
Nevertheless, Dr. Burzynski has some other problems. His forthcoming hearing with the Texas Medical Board. According to the Courthouse News Service, an elderly cancer patient is suing Burzynski for allegedly bilking her of nearly $100,000?.
In my opinion, the charges appear horrific and may well finish off Burzynski. Amongst those reported are that (this from other publications) the clinic persuaded Lola Quinlan to embark on Burzynskis proprietary treatments in lieu of mainstream treatments. He failed to disclose that these treatments were part of a trial. He also provided false and misleading information about gene therapy which allegedly lacked the negative side effects associated with traditional cancer treatments.
The patient also claims she was coerced into overpaying for medicine by being told she could not take her prescriptions to another pharmacy, but only to the Southern Family Pharmacy. Burzynski failed to inform her that he also owned this pharmacy which sold the drugs at at a highly overinflated prices. After being told that the treatments were side-effects free, Quinlan suffered weakness, infections, vomiting, fatigue, mouth sores, dizziness, affected taste buds, joint pain and skin sores.
If these accusations are proven in court, then it will be very serious for Dr Burzynski and his clinic. It would be difficult to see how the Texas Medical Board would allow him to continue.
As for anyone representing the Burzynski clinic and Marc Stephens in particular, I dont respond to thuggish attempts to retract my opinions which I am entitled to make public. Marc Stephens has been threatening a number of individuals for posting their opinions of the Burzynski Clinic including those patients who did not have positive experience. I find that to be despicable in my opinion.

In addition to the report I filed, it has come to my attention that Dr. Burzynski was previously convicted of fraud. You can read all about it here:

Completely False

This report is completely false! I know firsthand that the company that this man is collecting for used deceptive practices in their contract versus their oral agreement.
We used a company to find a physician for our practice, and I was told by the recruiter that it would cost us x amount of dollars. Once we agreed upon a physician, the company did not honor the verbal agreement, and invoiced us nearly twice as much. Thank goodness I kept notes of our conversations.
We are currently negotiating and have agreed upon a set price, for that particular physician and one more physician. All we ask is that the company send us one invoice for each physician. We are awaiting the invoice at this time.
The man who wrote the initial complaint, is a bully who uses scare tactics and harrassment to collect, and does not even know the whole story. We are still on good terms with the company he is trying to collect for. We are a reputable company, and we pay our bills when due. We care about our patients, and our employees, as well as our vendors. We will not be bullied into paying something that is outrageous, and was not agreed upon in advance.
