I bought a 2011 BMW 535i sport package from United BMW in March 2011. The same day I drove it home, I had severe backache due to problem with the seats and sport package. I informed the sales person, the sales manager, internet manager. Everything fell on deaf ears. They would not take return of the car. I even offered to pay $500. They gave me all sorts of lame excuses and basically offered to pay me $3000 less for the car. Mind you this was after 1 or 2 days. Shameful business practice. All they care about is the money, customer service is only lip service and not reality.

It is a used car

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, October 02, 2011

That is right once you drive it off of the lot it is a USED car and they can no longer legally sell it as NEW.  So are they supposed to take this "loss" for something that is no fault of their own?

Look at it another way.  You are looking at two cars, one was purchased and driven for a couple of days, the other is totally new.  They are the exact same price..which one would you buy?  I can guarantee you that you would not buy the "used" car.  The only way you would buy the "used" car is if they reduced the cost.

You didn't say what the exact cost of the car was but $3,000 seems fair.
