This 1 truck owner was a headache from day 1. I should have refused his employment offer, but he suckered me with his sob story. He has had nothing but problems with his bank concerning my paychecks. Now, he has stopped payment on my paycheck. He has no consideration for D.O.T. Regulations. He also has no regard for State or Federal inspections. I thought I was getting in something new on the ground level and instead I regret ever talking with this person.

 united freight transport, what can I say  good about this so-called company. one piece of garbage for a truck to haul freight across the USA. When I offered to return truck, I requested airfare in advance and was denied. He must have used my final paycheck which was also stopped payment on for his airfare to retrieve his vehicle. I registered mailed him the key and a couple days later he must have secured his property. It was being watched by the same police force he called when I self terminated in the officer's presence. Every paycheck I received from john hamburn was stopped payment on. I then demanded Western Union for my money or the truck would not roll. He also thought he was a dispatcher and he could only obtain loads for this one truck operation every other day. It took two months to earn three weeks worth of normal pay. The truck had fuel stolen which does happen out on the road which he refused to believe. He does not keep track of the mileage on the truck, which would have told him something. he  thought the truck only had eighty gallon tank capacity when actually the vehicle held 240 gallons.  this person knows NOTHING about trucks or the trucking industry and I definitely do warn drivers to PLEASE stay away from this outfit. NO GOOD is all you would ever receive from it! hamburn also contacted me for a reference to help him join LinkedIn after my seperation from my so-called employment with united freight, I just laughed! Merry Christmas to all Raymond K. My name is John Hamburn. I am the owner of United Freight Transport, LLC, in Youngsville, LA. I would like to reply to the accusations made by my former employee.

First, I would like to cover the issue of his payments. There was ONE incident that occurred as a result of this employee’s pay check. It was over an issue of fraud within the account. The reason was because it had been flagged as suspicious through the fraud prevention department, due to it being the employee’s first pay check, which was immediately resolved. His check was received late; this was the ONLY time it occurred. I worked with him to provide for his payment, while he waited, to the point of sending him a wire transfer so that he could receive his payment sooner, due to the fact that he declined direct deposit and chose to have his checks snail mailed to him. This was a two week process. As for his comment on his payments being stopped, this is completely false.

I would now like to speak to the point that I do not follow DOT regulations, this is also false. The employee would spend part of his driving time going to his house for his 10 hour break, instead of remaining on his route. This caused him to violate DOT regulations, as per diving hours, and lead to late deliveries. To this point, I simply told him that he was not allowed to use his hours driving off route to get to his home. I believe this request to be very reasonable being that he was on my time, using my fuel.

As for the comment of not having any regard for state or federal inspections, this, too, is untrue. The fact is that my company provided incentive bonuses of 50 to 100 dollars for passing ANY inspections.

Now, I would to get to his slanderous comments of being a "bigot" and "hating Yankees", and "being a major liar". As for these comments are concerned, I am married to a woman from New York, a "Yankee"; so not sure how I can possibly hate them. As for being a bigot, I have people of all races and ethnic groups working for me. Now, I am a small company, so everyone that works for me is hired by me. If I were a bigot, why would I hire diversity employees?  

The final point I would like to make is that this individual was a disgruntle employee, whom I had many issues with. For example, he ran out of fuel on the highway, he refused to take loads; he abandoned one of my truck and trailers 1,100 miles from my base of operations. I had to incur the expense of flying to Pittsburgh to drive the truck back. He was also difficult to reach on the phone, when needed.

The fact is that this employee is lazy and uncooperative. I would not recommend him for employment anywhere in the trucking industry.
