What Option Magic offers is fluff.  Tried a couple of their recommendations with shadow trades and would have lost money.  READ THE FINEPRINT -- you will be charged $49.95 every month unless you send an email to cancel@virtualinvesting.com.  You must send the email 3 days before the monthly "renewal" date (when your account started).  They don't answer their phones and don't return messages.  BEWARE or you will be paying $49.95 every month until you email them to cancel!!

Helpful Advice

AUTHOR: L. Vermill - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 06, 2010

Do you really feel that your BOLD statement to read the fine print is some kind of helpful advice?  Reading the fine print is a fact of life when buying anything. It is a given when you buy any product.  Pointing out the posted legal and obvious terms is not due diligence nor reason to post a blatant spin on the facts of this offer.

This is far from any kind of scam from my experience. You have to enter your credit card to order the information, I don't just blindly NOT read the terms and conditions. Its pretty simple to click a link to scan one paragraph of terms to see what your signing and if there is an auto billing component to the offer. Its really not uncommon on these kind of offers. I buy them all the time. I actually have the service and have used it for the past 6 months. In fact they just had a pick on American Express Put option that had amazing gains in only 2 days.  The stock picks have really been quite good and the book, while not rocket science gave me a few useful tid-bits to add to my quiver of trading info. So for what its worth folks, wake up and read the terms when you buy anything. I don't really think its fair to blame these guys for your own lack of research.  Even good old time magazine and the like give you the freebees then start an auto billing. Let us all just use some common sense when ordering online.

There's nothing wrong with this company or service. Its very strait forward, has some good fantastic tools. There is a ton of education videos on the site I went through. I think some people have just gotten bent out of shape because when buying the book the subscription service is also offered (as a bonus item) as a 45 day free trial which starts an auto billing cycle if its not canceled. I remember the terms being plastered on everything, the order confirm page the welcome email etc. I honestly didnt feel like it was hidden.  To cancel you only have to send an email so that is not a big deal.  You make it sound like you have to cut off your arm or something.  Its really not so.  I would also bet if you contact them they would be willing to work out some kind of refund?  Ive had need to contact them before and had no issue with getting a live person.  Did you try that first?

For those looking to order this product take it from someone who has actually ordered and used it vs. from someone who posing as your friend  pointed out their experience by pointed out the obvious,  the terms are in fact quite obvious.
