I was a customer of Wells Fargo. I made a check deposit that I received from. Client, the check was returned as it was written on a closed acct. I immediately deposited funds to cover any outstanding overdraft funds/ fees yet Wells Fargo closed my account and banned any future business with them. They treated me like a criminal degraded me rudely hung up on me
They didn't look into anything I tried to provide to them as proof I was the injured party.

The Pima County District Attorney has a very aggressive and reasonably successful Bad Check Collection program. Contact them. It won't get you back in Wells Fargo's good graces but it may at least get your money.

Some Help For You!

Same similar thing happened to my husband at Wells Fargo, who used to have a good reputation until they bought Wachovia Bank. They always pick on the little guy and don't care what information you give them. They are no different from Bank of America. I just hope they don't get any taxpayer funded bailouts.
Suggestion, file a Police Report as the Injured party of a scam. Take the Police Report number and file a Complaint with United States Postal Inspectors, Federal Trade Commission, FBI ( submit a tip) and download form 3949A from the IRS.gov website and The Better Business Bureau. Refer all of them to this website! I hope some really good attorney takes up the cause and files a Class Action Lawsuit against them. Good luck to you!
