I have a rather  unique meetup closing that is still not understood.  

Taking a position to be informed,  I had read all the TOS,   taken the time to trek into NYC and attend the "organizers meetups" and PAINSTAKINGLY taken the time to actually reach by phone several times meetup professionals.    



There is no Short of things.   My FREE TO PUBLIC,   200 person Hypnosis for change meetup run since ??  2007 had been closed and like previously stated, it is like banging your head against a wall as I am not told what it is that I did wrong so as to avoid my other 5 groups being protected.   From the best of my knowledge,  I had put a link to Relay For Life Cancer group,  where I was providing a chance for members to attend a free hypnosis show followed by a therapeutic self hypnosis session. There was mentioning of an optional $10 donation at the door to the cancer group "optional".   Next thing you know, the group is closed and promises of my refund.  I do not want a refund,  I want my group up, or at least an explanation so as to protect my other groups from closing.



Well,   they must have seen the movie FIGHT CLUB as the #1 rule of Fight Club is to NOT SPEAK ABOUT FIGHT CLUB, or not speak of Meetup.   Even though I had truly tried to be respectful in all my writings, submissive in my approach,  I guess the mere fact of me not accepting my years of work to build a community going down the drain with me not asking any questions did not take place,  my nightmare took place.  I just saw today, that my other 5 groups have also been cancelled.  Why these???   I am still waiting for an explanation hoping there may have been some slim chance of a mistake and still I get the same response to note the TOS rules(I HAVE),  I have also talked previously with management about running a group and attended organizers meetups.   More informed??  I do not know how to be.   



Worst,  I no longer have the credit card I had paid this with and waiting still for this refund still, and still no explanation.  There are other organizers that have floated a civil action suit, a grassroots "We are Deserving People At Least Deserving the Decency of An Answer".  There are several other meetup style groups- I will not mention them as this message will surely be taken down, and these issues do not take place.   



I offer free group meetings to people and when a person asks about seeing my privately for monies,  my response is ALWAYS the same in asking them to wait for a free group.  I have a terminally ill child and know how it is to have people take advantage of parents or others in need of help and truly let my conscious guide me.   I have a sponsor(myself) offering my private practice of hypnosis and have let it be known that members are entitled to VIP service, extended time and automatically in our sliding scale discount.  My private practice is rarely known by anyone and I am only mentioning it now as to be fair to meetup in that it does exist.     

Lastly,  to add insult to injury here,   after closing the first group without reason or explanation and me begging to know how so as to protect the others, and after closing the other groups for what I assume is Disent, discussion about meetup.  I look back at previous correspondence with meetup, and I guess this is what Tegan referred to as "playing the system", but here I am being offered by HQ to consider purchasing a paid SPONSORSHIP.  I can only assume so much so why bother and try to voice any assumption now about their sponsorship selling practices to an obviously upset organizer.  I had close to 500 members, whos emails I still have. 



My members had wanted me to join THEIR petition that would hopefully be viewed. In the meantime, I patiently wait to find out what happened?, and what does this have to do with my other groups and why am I being sold on sponsorship opportunities, and will I ever find out what happened? and what about my refunds, Sad,  as this was an opportunity for overseas returning military and others to receive group support free of charge.  I do know of competing groups like my past that had regularly charged for their groups and had asked me to do the same, but that would just be conspiracy type thought if I where to think that this had something to do with my groups being cancelled while theres are still up.    HELP,  any ideas?
