I did 2 wilderness pack trips with Zinkel Longears & Pack, Rhonda Zinkel, and purchased some leather tack items from her. In so doing, it was necessary for me to place some personal property items in her fiduciary care. I have asked several times for these items to be returned, but she refuses to return them. She admits the property is mine, that she still has the items, and that there are no outstanding debts or other reasons for her to keep these items. I offered to pay all postage and handling fees, but she continues to refuse to return my items. This is a warning to others, and another attempt to have my items returned to me.

On November 8 and 9, 2013 Ms Zinkel refused to return my belongings. On November 10, 2013 I went to Ms Zinkel's home and place of business along with a Siskiyou County Deputy Sheriff. At that time Ms Zinkel admitted to having a few of my smaller items (like she now admits to having the broken locks and chains). But she denied having the rest of my property, and refused to return it.
On December 10, 2013 I sent an email to Ms Zinkel listing the remaining property, and again requested she return it. At that time she agreed to mail it all back to me if I paid cash for the postage. I requested she send me a list of what she was would be mailing, and that I pay her via PayPal instead of cash. After I made those 2 requests, she refused to send anything.
On June 1, 2014 I sent Ms Zinkel the address of my home in Montana, and requested she send my property to that address, instead of my California address. She has not replied to that request.
After waiting a long time, and must frustration, I filed this Ripoff Report on January 29, 2015.
I remain willing to pay postage for the return of my property. But would first like a list of what is to be sent, and would like to pay via PayPal, not cash. Zinkel Longears & Pack has a PayPal account.
The 2 keyed-alike padlocks, and chains, were not broken when I loaned them to Ms Zinkel to secure the spare tire in her pickup truck during our pack trips. If they are indeed broken, I would like them to be replaced with new-condition keyed-alike locks (and keys) and new-condition chains.

Richard Braden filed this report viciously and untruthfully. He was never a customer and he never bought any tack from me.
I did take him on a couple of horse rides and on a short camping trip, as a friend, but never on a pack trip. He and I dated but were not a good match and I ended the short friendship. Being a woman it can be very dangerous dating men that we do not know and sometimes we make very bad and dangerous mistakes. This was one of those.
Richard did leave a couple of items at my place which were valued at less than $15 total value (a broken lock & piece of chain). I offered to mail them to him if he would send me the cost of postage prior to me shipping them to him. (He had moved to Montana) He refused to do so. This was about three years ago. I have not heard from him since then. I had let him keep his horse and mule here at my place for a couple of months at NO cost. He made out like a bandit. He was angry that I expected him to buy his own hay for his animals.
I just happened across this "report" while googling for something else and I was shocked that a website would post something like this which is nothing more than viciousness being broadcast by a former friend gone bad without even contacting me to get my side also. Richard Braden was being vindictive and vicious by posting this on a public website. Not a very honorable thing to do.
