I found this guy trying to sell a 2007 Honda CBR 1000 for $2,845. He sent me an email back and here it is:

Hello,
   The price is $2850.
This bike is a real 'head turner' and it will make you proud, it is in excellent condition, never been involved in accidents, only 5,800 miles, VIN:JH2SC57017M301874 clean and clear title,no mechanical problems,no scratches, flaws or any kind of damage, all functional and it will need nothing in the near future.
I have the bike sealed at DAS terminal in Weston,FL ready to be shipped out will take 4-5 days through DAS and it will be free,my previous buyer(his loan did not get approved)already paid for it and DAS didn't want to refund him the shipping fee.
I cannot meet face2face I have a new job in Tucson, AZ I would like to use Autotrader Vehicle Purchase to take care of this deal, smooth and safe. Let me know if you have any other questions, hope i didn't miss anything.

Thank you,Doug.

I was skeptical about this, so I decide to do some research to see if it was legit. Well, someone else had been scammed the same way only he had a different motorcycle and in a different state.

If you see anything from this guy STAY AWAY !!!!! He seems to always price just under 3,000 dollars, and the motorcycles he tries to sell are in immaculate condition.

If you see this guy creeping around on craigslist you should REPORT THIS CROOK !!!!!!!!!!!

not me

AUTHOR: Doug Arnew - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, August 24, 2012

Iam Doug Arnew and iam not the person who is scaming people by trying to sell a motercycle or anything else. Some unsrupulis person is using my name posting on the internet to sell items and it is not the real Doug Arnew. Posting false information on this site is slander and the person who is responsible should be held liable.

I have a web site for work I do and when you type my name into a search engine this false posting comes up. I can not help but think that this mis information is hurting my business which has nothing to do with scaming on Craigslist.  Please take this false report off the internet.

False Report

AUTHOR: Doug Arnew - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, April 22, 2010

My name is Doug Arnew and in no way was I invalved with a scam trying to sell anything on Craigs List or anywhere else. Look at all the other postings on the web with my name on them. Do you really think that I would try to scam something on the internet?

Do you suppose that if some body was trying to pull a scam that they would use there real name? This internet is full of scams and idenity theft.

It is obvious that some one is using my name to try and scam some people out of there hard earned money. Unfortunatly I can not find out who that person is.

Unfortunatly this site will not retract the slandering of my good name, even though I can prove that I was not involved with this incident or any other scam.

If you are going to report someone about something like this with out knowing the facts, you are setting yourself up for a law suite. Find out all the facts before you post.

Please remove this fraudulant posting.
