Yes, it's pretty obvious that there are a few people out there with the name Barbara Sobel.
Like this poor lady, who holds a position as Trustee at Kean University, and is clearly not the Barbara Sobel who are talking about :

Then there is the pathological liar and thief Barbara Sobel who preys operates in the music business.

It's well known in the US Promotional industry that Barbara Sobel is a sham, liar, fraud and delusional.
She creates websites and uses them to bolster her standing to unsuspecting individuals who are new to the game, or simply don't know better.

1) Barbara Sobel created the Official USA Top 40 Radio Charts. Never heard of it? Well, she is the only one who promotes it to her clients, who suddenly become #1 in these charts, beating out people like Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran and Lady Gaga. Yeah, if I was #1 in the USA Charts I think my royalty checks would be reflective of that!

2) Barbara Sobel claims to be a first responder in 9/11. There is no evidence to support her claim. Yet she posts photos of her self on her (regularly blocked) facebook pages wearing 02 masks (but forgets to connect them to an actual oxygen supply. She also setup charity pages to obtain cash from people.

3) She used to work for Harry Towers (ZIPDJ). It's common knowledge that she stole his customer database and setup her own Promotional Company called "Sobel Promotions". She suckers in remixers with promises of stardom. But in reality they end up submitting remixes to her for free, while she keeps the promotional fees paid to her. The remixers make NOTHING.
And when the remixers decide to leave, or speak against her (or discover pages like this) she organises her followers to harrass them online, plus she starts hate campaigns against them. Check out her facebook page for further evidence:

4) She did promotional work for Doctor and the Medics. She convinced herself and everyone around her that she and the lead singer (Reverend Clive) were getting married. Then when a backing singer spoke out of turn on social media, Barbara went into meltdown and declared war against Clive for "betraying her". Barbara stated she was no longer in love with him and they were not getting married anymore.
Oh yes, this was all a very big surprise to Clive, who knew nothing about getting married to Barbara.
Barbara organised a hate campaign against Clive from Doctor and The Medics, and got her friends and followers to harrass both him and the band.
Yes, this is a former client of hers. Can you imagine what she's like with an enemy?
