May, 2019 - I gave him a check for $2000 deposit to replace central A/C. He did not perform any work or deliver any goods.
July 2019 - I cancelled by text, he replied he would mail me a check for $1000. Over the next 4 months, he sent several texts that the check was cashed, he would send another when his bank credited him $1000. Then he ghosted me for a month.
March 2021 - I brought the case to Union County Small Claims court. I won $2042 by default.
As of July 2022 he still has not paid me.
