Toyota material handling northern california TMHNC TMH False information about the lifespan of a forklift Livermore, Sacramento, Fresno California
*Consumer Comment: No
"The average lifespan of a forklift is 10,000 hours, but this depends on the manufacturer. Above-average machines, such as Toyota forklifts, commonly last more than 20,000 hours."
This is explicity untrue, I've had toyota forklifts that didn't last past 10,000 hours and CAT and Hyster forklifts in our warehouse that lasted more than 20,000 hours. Buying a toyota forklift based on this information alone proves they are slandering other forklifts despite even in some cases having an inferior product.

First it did not state specifically what other brands average 10,000 hours. For all you know they consider the others that you mentioned above average as well.
Second, they said they "commonly" last for more than 20,000 hours. It doesn't say they guarantee it, and it doesn't say what type of criteria. The average use depends on several factors, many of which are outside of the manufacturer's control.
By the way if anyone is buying a forklift relying on just that information you posted, would really only prove that it is very likely that the purchaser has no idea what they need to look for in buying one, let alone to properly operate or maintain a forklift of any quality.
