I filed suit in Multnomah & Washington County Small Claims Courts for Libel, Acute Emotional Distress, Breach of Contract & Violation of My Substantial Right of Public Accomodation.

Owner/Manager Lee Judson, slammed my senior citizen, disabled wife and me on his nefarious Do Not Rent list with drug dealers, prostitutes & their ilk.

Kim Wolf, Registered Agent, for condoning the practice.

All we did was ask, we didn't even complain, if we could get a discount for being assigned a substandard room.

""Katie,
We appreciate that Mr. C---- has made an effort to start the retraction process. The problem is that the retraction sentence (or complete removal) needs to go with each individual posting. ""

Yup! That's how it normally works d**k. I suspected that your "blanket" retraction on a few websites was not going to suffice.

What they want you to do is edit EACH and EVERY POST you have made over the internet that mentions your bruhaha with the motel and post a retraction to EACH post.

For example, you would need to update EACH of your ripoff reports here, as well as all the other postings you made on the other websites.

I don't think any webmaster is going to rummage through their files and do it for you.

I suggest you get to work and start posting the retractions.

I'm not sure if you've placed this retraction on each of your posts here on ROR, but this post is the only one that it's showing on. What the lawyer is stating is that since ROR won't remove any post, that you have to put this disclaimer on each post you initiated here. I'm sorry to hear of your current legal situation and I hope that things work out for you.

DISGRUNTLED ATTORNEY

AUTHOR: Dick - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, March 20, 2008

LEGAL NOTICE:

From: Stanley D Gish, Attorney [mailto:stangish@comcast.net]
Sent: Monday, March 17, 2008 1:01 PM
To: 'Katheryn Costello, Attorney

Subject: Colbeth v. Judson (retraction)

Katie,
We appreciate that Mr. Colbeth has made an effort to start the retraction process. The problem is that the retraction sentence (or complete removal) needs to go with each individual posting.

Example for 1 of the consumer sites:

1. Ripoffreport: General retraction posted to report 259470 (retraction dated 2/26), but not on reports 284937, 285252, 284274, 278590, 272431, 268013, 251948, 251808 and 236071.

Please note that this is not just an academic exercise. Mr. Judson has had a potential customer call him to complain about these web reviews by Mr. Colbeth.

Mr. Colbeth is very proficient at using these sites and it should not be difficult for him to go through the list and post the one sentence retraction at each individual posting, where it has not already been done. If he is able to get the website to delete the postings in their entirety, that would be even better.

Thank you for the continuing efforts of you and your client on this. I will check online in 3 days to see how things are progressing.

Stan

So in the spirit of cooperation, here it is again: I FULLY RETRACT AND WITHDRAW ALL OF MY PREVIOUS POSTINGS ON THIS SITE CONCERNING MOTEL 6, ACCOR, AND MANAGER LEE JUDSON.

d**k Colbeth

ROR, if you could take care of that for me, I'd really appreciate it.

SURE FIRE MONEY MAKER

AUTHOR: Dick - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, February 25, 2008

#1. If you already have a small business, insult one of your customers - big time, say he's a drug dealer; better yet, insult his wife, say she's a prostitute. But insinuate, stop short of the legal definition of libel/slander. If you don't have a business, that's O.K., you can supplement your income by using this tried and true method anyway.

2. Pick your victim carefully: senior, disabled, retirees are great! You don't want anyone who has too much money or clout.

3. Vic, after exhausting every fruitless consumer complaint avenue on the planet will, in order to get satisfaction, eventually turn to the court system to the limit of his financial ability - Small Claims Court.

BOOM! Trap sprung! You've got him.

4. Get some sleazy attorney who is willing to prostitute him or herself to countersue for say, $100,000 for any reason it doesn't matter, ripping the case out of Vic's relatively safe Small Claims Court up into the rare air domain of attorneys only by design - Circuit/District Court.

5. Vic will dig into his Social Security/retired money and put up a noble effort but will not be able to sustain in the long haul and you win by default - $100,000 - tax free! Isn't that a great idea? Hawaii time.

Talk about your basic no-sweat money maker! This is a sure fire winner. You can't lose, unless Vic can come up with some money somewhere or has a friend in the legal racket, but this is extremely rare.

Vic

I'm putting aside who's right and who's wrong on this post.

I want to tell you d**k, that I too believe that God has tested you...but you didn't fail! You may have been led astray temporarily, by people ready to devour your soul. The fact that you realized it, means you passed the test in my opinion.

In my eyes you've already won. From now on, remember to turn the other cheek...soon you will feel how liberating it is!

In the end, look at the big picture. With all of the blessings, love, family, spirituality, and more..this post will only be a small bleep on the radar of your life. Maybe this experience was for a reason...to lead you back, gain wisdom, and to remind you that there's always a lion in the darkness.

I FORGOT

AUTHOR: Dick - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, January 27, 2008

My pastor at church this morning reminded me of a few things I'd forgotten:

For over 30 years I've been practicing "Turn the Other Cheek". I forgot this fundamental tenet of my Christian faith.

For over 30 years I've been teaching the fundamental Biblical concept to "Return Blessings for Cursings". It slipped my mind.

For over 30 years I've been preaching that the devil goes about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour." I took my eyes of him for a sec and got bit.

I want to use this public forum to apologize to Accor, Motel 6 and Manager Judson for any upset I may have caused reacting to a 'slap'. I take this opportunity now to belatedly bless you.

I feel the Lord has tested me and I failed; but that's O.K., I'll just pick myself up, dust myself off and start all over again.

d**k don't be one

AUTHOR: Debbit - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, January 25, 2008

I've read all of your posts here and at the other sites you've signed up on. You're a wordy bugger, but you're not helping your case. Let your attorney do what you're paying him to do and SHUT UP.

As an X manager for this corporation, I'm here to tell ya that,

1. Nobody's perfect.
2. As a corporate practice, M6 does not have a DO NOT RENT TO LIST
3. You never stated if this was a corporate store or a franchise. Franchisees have their own set of rules. M6 is not responsible for the Franchisee's practices dealing with such as this.
4. Had you not taken a menacing track in dealing with this issue, it could have been resolved months ago. Literally.
5. If you don't like how you're treated by this particular motel, stay elsewhere. There have got to be many more motels in the area. Unless of course you've teed them all off too.

Basically, d**k...don't be one. Get over it. Life is too short to get your nickers in such a knot for such a long time. You're not hurting Accor, they're too big. You might be hurting the little guy who has a franchise. And to tell ya the truth....being but on a DO NOT RENT TO List at M6 ain't such a big deal. Now if the Hyatt Regency has you on the list...there's something to be P**** at.

Live love laugh and be happy.

THE IRISH WAY

AUTHOR: Dick - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, January 25, 2008

Don O. Trent lives in Tipporary by the seaside and I in Northwest Killarney; Don and I had been friends and business partners for over 10 years. My wife and I had enjoyed the pleasure of his company many times.

Then one day I made an innocent little comment; he understood what I was talking about, he thanked me for my observation and apologized.

Then quite unexpectedly after he said he was sorry, he hit me upside the head with his shillelagh! No problem I've gotten knots on this old head before, but after asking him why he did it and not getting a satisfactory response, I did the only thing any Irishman worth his salt could do: I returned the favor. I punched him from every conceivable angle for twelve rounds until 'the man' pulled me off; if he did not, I would still be clobbering him. Nobody thumps Patty O'Furniture and gets away with it.

So anyway, 'the man' insists I take back some of the things I said during the brouhaha; O.K., what the hell I will; I got my satisfaction, I'm over my headache, but his owies will last forever.

Maybe next time Mr. Trent will think twice before he blindsides another old friend.

Top o' the marnin' to ye

Patty

The post from the desk clerk at Motel 6 in Ausin was great. I think she hit the nail on the head. I realize that d**k is going to dispute in some way. Insider perspective

AUTHOR: Anonymousm6insider - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, January 24, 2008

Dear d**k and friends,

I would like to offer my perspective as a Motel6 guest service representative (aka desk clerk). First, let me explain how I stumbled upon this site. I recently dealt with a very belligerent guest who had been a guest with us for a few weeks. His company set him up with another worker who do did not know him beforehand. His roommate came to the office and told me that he was uncomfortable with his roommate, he suspected that he was stealing from him...etc. Of course, this was a situation that I had to refer to the police. The problem child (the workers loving nickname for their coworker) was out at the time. When he came back, he asked for a key to his room. With his roommate's safety in mind, I had to refuse the request, call his boss and roommate, who in turn called the police. During that time, I was verbally assaulted by this drunk man who wanted into his room. He kept ignorantly spewing out "the customer is always right," and "show me in writing that you can refuse to let me into my room." He did have a point with that latter statement. Once the situation was over, I took it upon myself to search our office to find a written statement for future reference. Neither my MOD nor GM were around for assistance, so I eventually googled "right to refuse service motel 6" and here I am. So to make a short story long, I read your story, d**k, along with every response (it was a very slow night at work.)

I am not drawing parallels to your situation and my story above. I simply want to illustrate the type of guests that we deal with as GSR's. I have also had guns pulled on me and have had to break up fight between grown men (I am a petite, 20 something female). It is always at our discretion how to deal with problem guests. Our most common problems are not violent, drug related, or sex related. Most commonly we have to deal with guest who are unhappy with their stay for various reasons. I understand that travelers are often eager to get into a warm or air conditioned room and get some rest quickly and without complications, and are prone to be irritable when it does not happen that way. We deal with verbal abuse constantly. Again, it is at our discretion to refuse service if we believe that an unhappy guest could turn into a hostile guest. It happens all the time, and although it is not written in stone, I believe that it is better to be safe than to be sorry. What do I mean by "sorry"? Well, guests who start off irritable often retaliate with defamatory remarks, by scaring off potential and current guests (I have seen one angry guest clear out the whole lobby several times), and sometimes even take out their anger on the property. We have to make the judgment call as to when an irritable guest may turn into a threatening or dangerous guest.

Before this job, I worked as a bartender and waitress. Refusing service usually meant turning away a drunk customer who is a danger mainly to himself. The hospitality business is unique. We have guests living and sleeping on our property, guests who feel comfortable behaving as if they are at home (which is something we hope for!) and let's be honest, low price motels are a flame for the proverbial moths of illegal behavior. What I am getting at? Even at the safest locations, guests are vulnerable, not to mention the GSR's. We work in the office at all hours. We lock it up at night, but sometimes we need to step outside for one reason or another. We cannot risk having potentially dangerous guests on our property. Can we be wrong about turning someone away? Of course! Do we risk losing immediate or future business by turning someone away? Yes. As someone mentioned above: the people who turned you away must have had a good reason in their mind, because they were also turning away money. Think of Airports. Sometimes it feels as if our civil liberties are trampled upon in the name of safety. I agree that they may take it too far at times. Is a nail clipper really a weapon? The point is, airport security take the same approach. They see their customers as being vulnerable, captive on airplanes for long periods of time. They have the same approachbetter safe than sorry.

Please keep in mind that there is sometimes human error during the check-in process. Sometimes we may accidentally overbook our reservation. Sometimes equipment does not work properly. Have you ever made a mistake or had a computer freeze up on you? We do what we can to make up for it by offering guest certificates and even refunds. Mistakes do not merit hostile or angry responses. Even if the situation begins with a GSR error, it may end with refusal of service if the guest cannot remain patient or calm.

Now, to address your situation more specifically:

Quote: "Quote: My husband & I have been staying at your fine hotels for ages - 10 years, maybe - and our stays have been very enjoyable. But Sunday we got assigned a tiny, tiny room with no couch, only one bed, no microwave, and no frig at the regular price. The dear conter lady understandably was no help in giving us a reduced rate - what do you think? Is that fair paying full price for 1/2 a room? Thanks, d**k & Sandy. End of quote.

"That's it. She dropped it off at the counter, she checked out (I was in the car and wasn't a factor at all) and we left. Does that sound like a scam to you? She didn't even ask for a discount, she simply asked their opinion per their request on their little card."

Sometime rooms are luck of the draw on nights when the motel fills up. Just keep in mind that Motel 6 is a cheaper motel. Do you go to McDonalds and complain if you burger is little overcooked. Or better yet, do you go to McDonalds and try to order a steak. You must be realistic. If you have a motel 6 booklet (I don't have one in front of me right not to quote exactly) you will see that reservation requests such as first floor, large room...etc will be accommodated if possible, but they cannot be guaranteed.

If a room with ADA accommodations is needed, it is up to the guest to inform the GSR at the time of making the reservation or renting the room. How could we know otherwise? Every Motel 6 is required to be up to ADA regulation. The desk clerk can help to move you to another room if you are not satisfied with the one you are in and if one is available, but we do not have any authority to change the rate. I understand that this was simply a comment and much appreciated feedback. However, I cannot believe that that was it. I just cannot! For one, how are you quoting it if she dropped it off! At my property, we hold on to comment slips, but I really doubt that you made a copy or went back for it. If you did, I apologize for my disbelief. I also CANNOT believe that there was not more to the story. What would their incentive be to add you to the no rent list just for that?

As for the do not rent list, this is not a list reserved for drug dealers and prostitutes. At my property, those are very rare problems. More often, it is younger guests who were partying or trashed the room. There is also a large chunk of do not rents that go out to hostile guests. If your story is true and exact, the do not rent list was probably not the correct way of refusing your business. We have had people put on our do not rent list by a GSR, who came back and discussed their situation with the GM. Our GM often lets them stay if they believe that the guests were unfairly assigned to this list, or it was a one-time deal. Again, we all make mistakes.

Perhaps the motel staff DID discriminate against you based on age or disabilities. In that case you would probably have a case. However, I am a desk clerk and not a lawyer. What I can say is that this is very unlikely. They would be out of business if they were prejudice about either group! You did not seem to really harp on these details after someone brought it to your attention that your case could be improved if you harp on the fact that your are part of these protected groups. If your intentions are to fight ageism and discrimination against the disabled, why would you attack a business that requires senior citizen and AARP discounts, continual ADA regulation improvements, and warm shelter for people at affordable prices?!

Your complaints are way to frivolous for me to believe that your fight is one for justice and a greater cause. You want money and for someone to tell you that you were right and they were wrong. Well guess what, you are getting neither from me. I am offering you a greater understanding and an inside perspective of why we employ a do not rent list and the right to refuse service at Motel 6. You would be thanking the staff at your location, if they turned away someone that would have caused hindrance to your safety or comfort in any way. You stayed at Motel 6 for 10 satisfying years, and now you want to turn around and make defamatory remarks and smear our credibility all over the web and legal community after one bad incident. Perhaps one person did make a bad call, but I doubt they are regretting it at his point. If anything, your retaliatory behavior has proved you to be the type of business that we would turn away in order to protect our guest and business. You are hurting people by doing this. I am insulted by the defamatory remarks you have made about my place of employment. Am I going to sew you because I am insulted? Of course not! That is not what decent people do.

ACTIVISM

AUTHOR: Dick - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, January 21, 2008

Today we observe the life and death of a great Baptist Minister and Civil Rights Activist - Martin Luther King Jr.

He said:

"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."

Two years ago my disabled senior citizen wife and I faced one of the biggest challenges of our life when a motel manager in effect, kicked us out claiming we were prostitutes and drug dealers.

We stood up to him, took the blows, and did it Martin Luther King's - and Rosa Parks way.

FELONY?

AUTHOR: Dick - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, January 19, 2008

I was just wondering if anybody knows - is it a felony to insinuate another person commited a felony?

The reason I ask is that a motel manager has written a letter to the BBB stating that my wife and I had commited a variety of felonious activities while staying at his motel.

He later recanted his testimony, can I bring charges against him for that libellous statement?

Ah, yes, Robert, I was waiting for you to join the feeding frenzy. Thanks for your input.

What a fraud!

Again, I'll I've ever said is fully documented and will be available upon request one of these days. You know, you're always asking me for proof, and yet you accuse me of being a fraud w/o one shred of evidence. Kinda inconsistent there, aren't you, cyber-harrasser?

Now this self-righteous tale of woe has morphed into 'causing a stroke!'

Never said what caused my stroke; nobody knows, it just happened.

And of course, he doesn't mention it until now! Gosh! Golly! Gee wiz!

Didn't know there was a time limit.

Will this nonsense ever end?

I sincerely hope so.

This would be comical if it wasn't for the fraudulent plea for donations.

LOL or not? Which is it? Make up that pathetic mind of yours.

You asked for it,

Yupers.

Why would you take the time to do this after a stroke?

You know what, Kim? For the past year, every e-mail I sent, every post I made, every letter I wrote, I thought at each one Accor/Motel 6/Judson would cave; I really did, I gotta hand it to 'em they took a lickin' and kept on tickin'.

ror reports
November
01, 02, 03, 04, 06, 08, 11, 14, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21, 23, 25, 26, 29, 30

You gotta work for Accor.

So the stroke and recovery was on the 5th 7th or 27th
d**n

It was Sunday the 4th -it was like a cheap drunk which is starting to sound pretty good about now.

You are one quick recoverer

I guess; Docs got me on meds, now if I can just recover from the legal hell around the bend. It's going to be interesting - going pro se generally is tough, but in Oregon - yeow! Hope the judge, court clerk, law librarians and jury have a sense of humor.

Striderq: Actually it was fun, I enjoyed every minute of it, but now that the warm, fuzzy cub has grown fangs, I'm having second thoughts. Heard about a girl who had a pet raccoon who took off half her face when the testosterone or whatever kicked in.

Keel: Comeon, buddy - let me have it; like Kim observed: I asked for it. What's that song about something making the medicine go down easier? Wonder what that was? Order me a gallon. Accor/Motel 6/Judson are going to kick my fat, old a*s big time. Owie!

LISTEN UP, PEOPLE!

AUTHOR: Dick - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, January 06, 2008

Sugarpie: ...that LeeVing actually shut Bart up! Thank you LeeVing:)

d**k: Amen! I don't mind going toe to toe with half way reasonable people, but that guy is off scale weird.

Sugarpie: And to the person that wrote about this thread being like a tape playing over and over...what more could be added...WHY ISN'T ANYONE LISTENING TO HIM?????

d**k: Double Amen! Sugarpie, in the over a year of posting about this stupid Motel 6 DNR business, you're the very first sane voice of reason I've heard - way to go girl! I hope you come back. You hit the nail on the head about why I continue with this posting crusade - I'm simply looking for someone, anyone, anywhere, with clout, to pay attention - and get involved - with what that berserk manager did to my wife and me. This is not Russia - altho' Judson may be Russian I don't know, this is America - you don't just decide for no reason to not make public accomodation available to innocent travellers.

Nobody can make sense of this thing - nobody.

1. The Clatsop District Attorney said he never heard of a Do Not Rent list, but he can't get involved.
2. The Washington County D.A. flaked off somehow.
3. Attorney Generals in 3 states were no help.
4. Our friends are incredulous when we tell them about it, they say, "He did WHAT?!?" And we have to tell the story all over again. But what can they do?
5. The Oregon Bar doesn't like it, but gee whiz, golly, what can WE do?
6. Accor HQ in France says, "Comeon back." Accor North America says they'd love our business, but they can't get involved in a franchisee's decision, no matter how stupid.
7. Marge Boule, award winning columnist for the Pulitzer Prize winning Oregonian newspaper said it stinks and she can't believe this is happening to us but apparently it's only newsworthy if somebody gets killed, raped or robbed.
8. The Seaside Sentinel doesn't want to rock the boat of one of their own.

All it would take would be one agency - ADA, AARP, ACLU, BOLI, to wake up and say, "Hey! This isn't right! Let's help this guy out." And Seaside, Motel 6 Manager, Lee Judson would be sorry that he trampled on the rights of people he's supposed to be providing hospitality to. Maybe Accor too.

It worked for Rosa Parks, the system could work for us just as well.

IS ANYONE LISTENING?!?!

GOT 'ER FIGGERED OUT, I DO

AUTHOR: Dick - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, January 04, 2008

Stride: I finally figured it out.

d**k: You've figured what figured out? How much time do you spend trying to figure my deal out? And why? What's in it for you? Do you sit at your desk at work thinking about this whacko bit of business? Do you lie awake at night thinking about it? Some people do Crossword Puzzles, whatever.

Stride: I know why Judson apologized to you and your beautiful bride.

d**k: No kidding? Well, according to Manager Judson, he said in his letter to my wife, 8/19/06, "I am sorry that you were not pleased with your accomodations.... I suggest in the future you make a reservation..."

Stride: He was trying to do the right thing which a manager of a business should.

d**k: Right, at this point, my wife & I were totally impressed with Mr. Judson's professionalism and concern about his guest's concerns.

Stride: However, you just kept up with your antics...

d**k: Antics? What antics? All we thought was that Mr. Judson was one really nice guy and we were looking forward to accepting his invitation to return, maybe meet him.

Stride: "... and wanted more and more..."

d**k: More and more what? The man apologized and invited us to return, what more could he do? We were satisfied and forgot about it until we were rudely reminded in November that apparently his apology was not sincere.

Stride: "... and he decided (again doing the right thing) to just cut all ties with you by not allowing you to do any more business with his establishment.

d**k: Is it your theory, then, that Judson DNR's us because he anticipated that we would be pleased with his outstanding customer relations? Freaky theory you thought up, Stride, but what the hell, it's as good any I've been able to come up with.

Stride: Man, I'm sorry it took so long for me to see this...,

d**k: Hey, don't feel bad, Stride, I've been trying to figure this little bit of bizarre business out longer and more intensely than you have, and you figured it out quicker than I did.

"... but I hope it helps you put all of this behind you."

Nope, sorry, Stride, it doesn't help a bit; I'm not buying the theory you thought up in your spare time. Judge Judy says if something doesn't makes sense, it isn't true. I agree.

A journalist, Kim, according to Random House is a person who keeps a journal - make sense? - Or a diary. That makes me a journalist.

Never said I was a good journalist, but I've got three, 2 inch thick, 3-ring binders full of stuff pertaining to Judson's Joke written by people who are pretty good journalists: Federal, state and local officials, veteran's groups, senior societies, disabled organizations, religious groups, BLOGs, e-mails, Chambers of Commerce, newspaper reporters, BOLI, Accor NA HQ, Accor HQ in France, politicians, other guests similarly screwed by Judson who write pretty good.

They know the story, they have the facts, if you think this is some kind of elaborate practical joke- it ain't. I'm old, ugly, disabled and not very bright, but I'm serious as a heart attack.

CYBER-PANHANDLING

POSTED: Sunday, December 30, 2007

O.K., I cleaned up my cyber-panhandling response, maybe ROR will find this version more acceptable:

A cyber-harasser got all testy and took umbrage over my soliciting funds on RipOffReport.com; this is my response:

This is the first time I've ever stood on a cyber-street corner in my raggedy cyber-street clothes, not smelling too good to Robert in Buffalo, with my little cyber-cardboard sign saying:

HELP, ANYTHING WILL BE APPRECIATED
DISABLED VIET NAM VET/SENIOR CITIZEN
MOTEL 6 HAS FILED A FRIVOLOUS
THAT'S BANKRUPTING ME.
PLEASE SEND IT TO:
XXX XXXXXXX
THANKS, GOD BLESS YOU

Anecdote: I drive a police cruiser as part of a volunteer job I have and last week I was in a happy mood and when I pulled up to a stop sign I yelled at the guy with the sign, "Hey! You got any outstanding warrants!?" The guy turned white as a sheet, his eyes got as big as those old silver dollars, he dropped his sign and took off like a shot; man, I didn't know those cigarette smoking street people could move that fast.
I don't expect you folks to see the humor in that, but I still laugh when I think about it.

D FENCE!!! (GO, SEAHAWKS!!!)

AUTHOR: Dick - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, December 30, 2007

My early morning passing comment to the desk clerk about the bed bugs was so brief, and innocuous, he didn't even remember it; I brought it up. If it was so objectionable, why did Judson apologize and in another letter even ask to be forgiven?

It was unconscionable for Judson to apologize, ask for forgiveness and then turn around and blast us; that's hypocrisy by definition.

ROR won't print my response about cyber pan handling, which I think is too bad, but if you want to read it, go to VentVent and you can see how worried I am concerning your hysteria about my asking for help.

You guys would have made good defense attorneys - maybe you are, I don't know; what I do know is Judson did a really nasty thing and he should have to pay for it. Getting fired would suit me.

But everybody - even the most horrible serial killer, deserves an advocate to defend him or her, someone to advocate for them, and I'd say you guys are doing a pretty good job majoring on the minors. What the hell, it worked for O.J. Go for it.

There are people, especially on Rip Off Report, that I call AccorNazis, that insist on nipping at my heels like some rabid chihuahua over this Motel 6 deal. I've got enough materiel to write my book, I don't need to keep posting, but they won't leave me the hell alone.

So I feel I have to respond to their demented ravings. Here's the latest:

A JURY WILL DECIDE WHOS BEEN NAUGHTY OR NICE Rip Off Report 12/11/07

To reiterate:

1. My wife filled out the comment card left in the room for that purpose and didn't even really ask for a refund for being assigned a substandard room; she simply asked managements' opinion about it.

2. I never talked to a soul, in fact, and as testified to a BOLI investigator under oath by the Motel's Assistant Manager. Sandy checked in and out. I walked the dog and dealt with the luggage in the back of the motel, as had been my custom for 10 years at that place.

3. Seaside Motel 6 Manager Judson wrote a very nice letter of apology to my wife and me and invited us to come back.

4. What happened after that only Judson knows but I think it may have been a middle manager's urge to flex his muscles, to show off to the ladies on his staff what a big man he is in an egregious display of abuse of authority.

See, this is why there's almost always a problem with relatives hiring relatives - if Judson had gotten fired like he should have been, it would probably have caused a major family melt down and so this megalomaniac with delusions of grandeur, wealth and power continues his rampage of disrespecting innocent guests with impunity.

Keel, I think your posts are immature, irresponsible and a trifle cruel, but since you seem to know so much about it, maybe you'll be subpoenaed duces tecum as an expert witness.

Rude Desk Clerk
My wife & I had been happily staying at the Seaside, Oregon, Motel 6 for over a decade with no problems whatsoever.
Back in August '06, at about 6 am, I left the room to get a cup of coffee and I simply described what I thought may have been evidence of bed bugs to the desk clerk. He said they didn't have them so I forgot our momentary conversation.

Well, the clerk reported me as being abrasive and the manager, Lee Judson, put us on his Do Not Rent list...!
I thought if they had the nasty critters they would want to know about it; apparently not.

I think they ought to apologize to my wife and me... actually, the parent company, Accor North America, did, so did Accor HQ in France, but Judson is adamant.

I think they ought to offer us a complimentary stay and total reinstatement - after the place is thoroughly checked for bed bugs, of course.

Thanks very much for your support.

You should be looking forward to your big day in court, you practiced your testimony in one of your posts. And besides, just think of it this way, if you were to post the case/docket numbers we could look up this information and find out..."Oh My God, d**k was right. Nah that'll never happen, beacause the incident never happened. At least not as you've embellished, hid, changed and denied it.

So with that statement you are finally admitting that this whole drama is a journalistic fairy tale, to see how many people you can draw into this.

Unless you are going to work for the national enquirer, star and the rest of the "yellow" rags, a real jounalsits job is to gather the facts get then straight and report ALL the facts, in an attempt to have the readers understand, what, where, when, and how. not in your case where most of the FACTS read thruth were left out.

DOH.

Steven: Why so evasive to Patrick who is trying to find a reason to defend you???

d**k: Steven, I just happen to know of a nice little plot of ground there in Florida that I can let you have real cheap - It's called the Okefenokee Wonderland. Want in?

Steven: Still don't see why after all this you even care???

d**k: The Bible says to turn the other cheek; I subscribe to this advice. But whack my wife and it's a whole 'nuther thing.

Steven: Don't you and the wife get out much???

d**k: Well, we tried to get to the coast at least twice a year, but Judson put the squash on that with his frivolous.

Steven: There are plenty of other hotels in the price range.

d**k: You're right; actually Judson did us a favor by getting us out of our motel rent rut. We found a much nicer one closer to the beach with real friendly hosts.

Steven: Why not get an RV and use it??

d**k: I'm going to just as soon as I get your check for your little slice of heaven in the Okefenokee Wonderland; I'll set it aside for gas and off we'll go.

Steven: I agree with other posters why even want to stay at a hotel that supposedly treated you so rudely to begin with.

d**k: The man pissed me off; blame it on my Polack heritage. I'll let go when they pry my laptop from my cold, dead fingers.

Steven: A lot in your tales doesn't add up and as stated the details change frequently.

d**k: I'm not going to write a book, but if you're interested and will send me one significant apparent inconsistency, I'll address it for you as soon as I get my check. P.O. Box 821201 Vancouver, WA 98682

Steven: I too would like to see the docket numbers of your lawsuits.

d**k: I'm not trying to be difficult here, but what's up with that? What would you do with it? It's public info, why don't you go that route?

d**k: I'm a journalist, not a lawyer, variety makes for more interesting reading, so I may have told facts in different lights. Plus, in this venue, what difference does it make if I said it happened on a Monday or a Tuesday or if I did it or my wife did it who the hell cares? I sure don't.

I'm surprised ROR allowed this shameless solicitation for handouts.

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, December 28, 2007

d**k, do not forget that any donations you receive to fend off this alleged lawsuit are taxable income. I can't help but notice that now you're calling them "gifts." Have a little chat with a tax consultant did you? It's too late for that ploy. Further, if there is NO COUNTERSUIT as you claim, then using a USPS PO Box to receive these "donations" is mail fraud.

d**k is establishing a track record of bullying folks, AFTER THE FACT, into giving him a "discount." He doesn't complain on the spot or when he notices the "substandard" accommodations or service that won't do because they might CORRECT the situation or explain to him that what is offered is what he gets. No, not our paster d**k. His MO is to go ahead and make full USE of the service or accommodation, and THEN DEMAND a refund or discount.

He's discovered the internet and learned how to sucker folks into "donating" money to him with his folie de grandeur and tales of self-inflicted woe.

Here's another of his postings wherein he claims to get a free breakfast "a month or so" after the fact!

""A month or so ago at our favorite restaurant, the waiter charged us $19 for our usual $14 breakfast. He made a mistake; no biggie, we all do. This morning we complained to the owner who apologized profusely and bought our breakfast. Now that's the way a competent, responsible merchant deals with customer dissatisfaction. This motel manager made a mistake putting us on his nefarious list reserved for drug dealers, prostitutes and their ilk. The difference is he not only didn't apologize, he sued us for libel for our complaint. We'll go back to our favorite restaurant; we'll never go back to that motel, nor will our friends.

dickandsandy - 9/19/2007 7:24pm ""

THIS is Pastor Dicky's MO. USE the service or accommodation and THEN complaint for a refund, discount, or free service or accommodation. If he doesn't get his way, he bullies his way by going on a complaint rampage. Even here, on a public forum, our he bullies others who don't bow to his fictional grandeur and self-promoting righteousness.

Does anyone see a pattern of behavior here? I do.

Dear Patrick:

AUTHOR: Dick - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, December 28, 2007

A "Patrick" from Mesa, Arizona offered to help me in my dispute with Motel 6. Here is my response:

So you want to help me, Patrick? Wonderful! Here's what you can do:

1. My Social Security Disability will only go so far. This Do Not Rent thing Manager Judson sprung on me was very embarrassing; a Hallmark card of encouragement to me would be very nice. Tuck a non-tax deductible gift in it and send it to me at P.O. Box 821201, Vancouver, WA 98682 to help me defray attorney's fees

3. My wife sobbed her heart out - tears dripped off her chin - over the subtle scary letter Judson's attorney sent to her personally. I suppose another Hallmark card with a little donation enclosed for her would be nice.

4. Send about 1/2 dozen cards to me with explanations saying that my wife and I are not thieves as being one of the reasons Judson insinuated to the WA BBB that we are, it being the reason he kicked us out/DNR'd us. I will send them to my friends who are starting to lock up the towels and linens when they invite us over.

5. Send a card to Judson's attorney reminding him not to engage in abuses of the legal system by utilizing the courts as a weapon to retaliate or to attempt to silence the speech of Judson's victims. Tell him if it can be shown that he and/or Judson conspired and collaborated to concoct fictitious legal complaints solely in retribution and retaliation for themselves having been brought before the courts, he can find himself in serious trouble with the Oregon Bar.

6. Send a box of Sorry About That cards to me that I can send to my children and grandchildren apologizing for not being able to remember them this Christmas because the mean motel manager filed a frivolous against their Dad/Granddad. Ten $100 gift certificates enclosed would square things away for me.

Finally, send a nice card to Judson and encourage him to consider attending Customer Service 101.

That would be a big help, thanks, buddy

Someone posted the comment that I had referred to Seaside, Oregon, Motel 6 Manager, Lee Judson, as a son of a b***h and a b*****d for putting my wife and me on his nefarious Do Not Rent list without cause. Let me explain:

Although I confess these are vulgar terms, and I apologize if they were taken that way, I certainly meant no offense to Mrs. Judson, who is probably a fine lady; if she has passed, my sincere regrets, but I think she could have raised her son to have a little bit more respect for disabled veterans and senior citizens - DNRing them, essentially kicking them out of his motel without cause, how disrespectful is that!?

What I meant by referring to Mr. Judson as a son of a b***h was that I regarded him with anger, contempt, etc. It was an interjection expressing surprise, annoyance, etc. at what he had done to my wife and me, innocent travelers just wanting to get away for a relaxing week-end a couple of times a year.

I don't recall having referred to Mr. Judson as a b*****d, but if I did, I certainly did not mean that he was conceived in a barn; what I would have meant was that by DNRing, essentially kicking out, long term, regular guests who had never caused the slightest amount of concern to him or his staff in ten years, was that this would certainly have been something different from the normal or standard practice of any manager I had ever encountered in my 60 years of conducting business transactions all over the world.

You won't run into d**k or his wife since they are not allowed to stay there.

d**k,

I appreciate your response, even though it did not really address any of the questions I asked, or clarifications I requested. I'm trying hard to believe your side of the story, but the inconsistencies are too many to ignore, and I'm trying to get to the heart of the matter.

Let's start with G.A.S.P.:

1. Glitch - August 13th, '06 -asked about receiving a discount for sub-par room.

Was this the date you stayed at the location, or simply a date on which you contacted the Hotel and asked for a discount? I'm confused here as your letter on Complaints.com states you stayed on 5/29/06, which was Memorial Day.

2. Apology - August 20th '06 - Manager Judson wrote a very nice letter of apology and invited us back. Everything cool, O.K.?

Did you respond to Mr Judson's letter at all, or did you simply wait until November when you attempted to make a reservation? I'm just wondering, because it's quite possible that Mr Judson put you on the 'Do Not Rent' list after your outburst at the desk, but then sent you the letter of apology and was simply waiting for a response from you before taking you off the list.

3. SLAM! - THEN, freakin' THEN, O.K.? THEN he put us on the Do Not Rent list.

Possible explanation in #2.

4. Phone - First post-apology letter contact - first notified of SLAM!

Why did you wait so long to contact him back? Seems to me the most simple solution at this point would have been to call Mr Judson after receiving the 8/20/06 letter and accepting his apology. You probably would have been removed from the list immediately, and even gotten a free nights stay at the property at a later date.

Now, don't go lumping me in with other responders to your reports. I'm not here to try and nitpick your reports, or discredit your claim of a ripoff. I'm trying to gather the facts as objectively as possible. But since Mr Judson is not posting on this website, all we are getting is your side of the story, and there are several inconsistencies throughout your various reports that make it difficult to determine exactly what happened.

My first post on this report offered my opinion on your claims of cyber-crime, and asked about some inconsistencies in your reports and requested a clarification. I did so as objectively as I could without being demeaning to you. And your initial response to my post is:

'From now on, if I get any new posters who jump in the middle and think they've got all the answers, I'll just refer them to this post and save a lot of time, trouble, effort & energy.'

That's just it, I don't have all the answers. Hence my post to request clarification on certain issues. Your response is that of someone who doesn't want to listen to anything anyone else has to say about the subject, even though you personally requested responses to your 'situation' from other than the 'Dirty Dozen'. Here I gave you a well thought out and constructive response, and your reaction is to call me a 'know-it-all'.

And I still would like an answer to my question of why you and your wife didn't immediately request a new room upon checking in the first day. You would have known right away that the room was sub-standard. Why wait until the end of your stay to say anything?

I'm still giving you the benefit of the doubt here. If you wish to continue to carry on this dialogue in a civilized and mature manner, then I'm game and might even have some information that might assist you. However, if all you really want to do is 'scream blue, bloody murder to anyone and everyone who you think might care about this egregious traveller's nightmare', then I'm afraid you are on your own there.

Again, I look forward to your mature, civilized response.

Let me address a few issues here:

1. I didn't call Teresa an idiot, nor did I tell her to screw. Here is the link with my posting: ripoffreport.com/reports/0/249/RipOff0249366.htm#236096.

2. I did call Bart an idiot, because he is, and he used the following title "Ugh, you people are idiots." This was in reference to anyone (including myself) who did not share his neo-facist, right wing viewpoint on receipt checking at WalMart.(ripoffreport.com/reports/0/249/RipOff0249366.htm#236096) He's kind of like a stray mutt, good for nothing, and probably not even worth acknowledging. I've never seen anything remotely useful from him and hereby challenge you prove otherwise.

3. Uncle Vinny continues to ripoff people in SD Co and must be stopped. I posted an update today on another Vinny ripoff.

4. Lowes, I very politely asked where the stone and tile cleaner was, and was kind of taken aback when I was asked what I was going to do with it. You wouldn't have found that a bit insulting?, like possibly they thought you were going to do your laundry with it? or wash your car? or take a bath in it?

In addition, I have empathized and commiserated with many victims on this site, I have also been a victim numerous times myself.

From now on, if I get any new posters who jump in the middle and think they've got all the answers, I'll just refer them to this post and save a lot of time, trouble, effort & energy.

Just remember "G.A.S.P."

1. Glitch - August 13th, '06 -asked about receiving a discount for sub-par room.
2. Apology - August 20th '06 - Manager Judson wrote a very nice letter of apology and invited us back. Everything cool, O.K.?
3. SLAM! - THEN, freakin' THEN, O.K.? THEN he put us on the Do Not Rent list.
4. Phone - First post-apology letter contact - first notified of SLAM!

There were no outbursts, no nothing - nothing. They say they can refuse service to anyone BASED ON PRIOR PERFORMANCE. Our "Prior Performance" was 10 years of happy hospitality. There were absolutely NO grounds for slamming us - none.

I'm experiencing a problem communicating with you guys which is very frustrating for me because I just don't know how to make it any clearer.

O.K., repeat after me: G.A.S.P. - 1. Glitch, 2. Apology, 3. SLAM! 4. Phone.
1. Glitch, 2. Apology, 3. SLAM! 4. Phone. 1. Glitch, 2. Apology, 3. SLAM! 4. Phone. There's a certain cadence there.

What part of that aren't you guys getting? You're reading all kinds of crap in there that simply isn't so.

Judson isn't even countersuing for GASP - his problem is my screaming blue, bloody murder to anyone and everyone who I think might care about this egregious traveller's nightmare - GASP!

Response to d**k from someone new.

AUTHOR: Patrick - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 26, 2007

Hello d**k,

As a fan of RipOff Report and self-appointed Consumer Advocate (I have helped lots of people on this site resolve conflicts with bad businesses with my advice), I would like to respond to this particular report of yours regarding your treatment by Motel 6/Accor and Mr Judson (for now, I'm ignoring the other reports you've filed here).

First of all, I'd like to say that your claims against other posters here of cyber-bullying and cyber-stalking are nothing short of outlandish. This is a public website, which actually encourages rebuttals from 3rd parties who may have helpful advice or comments, and responses posted here do not constitute any type of cyber crime. You have the option of whether or not to actually read the responses here. By posting your report and actually making the effort to come back and read the responses, you are voluntarily giving up your right to file charges against them. Think of it as 'opting-out' with companies that send you junk mail. However, if someone posts something about you that is not true, and it causes you provable financial loss, then you might have a case for libel. But so far, all I see in the responses is only information that you yourself first provided.

Now, on to your complaint. The reason I felt compelled to finally post a response on one of your reports (I've been following all of them silently for some time now) is because of new information I just read. I am referring to the letter you posted on the Complaints.com website, which was your response to Mr Judson's offer to remove you from the 'Do Not Rent' list. In it you said:

'I apologized for my reactive outburst with your desk clerk, I think we deserve an apology as well; believe me, there are plenty of hard feelings on this end.'

I'm willing to go out on a limb here and say that you were placed on the 'Do Not Rent' list because of your 'reactive outburst', not because of some comment card your wife filled out, or any requests for compensation you or your wife may have made. For several years after my 6-year tenure in the US Air Force I worked as a manager in the quick service restaurant business. And as a manager, I reserved the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason so long as the reason did not violate the 'protected class' statutes, as the restaurant was private property. There were several times that I had trespass warrants issued against certain individuals, mainly for transients that did not follow my request to cease and desist panhandling on the property (others that came in and made purchases, even small ones, and did not attempt to panhandle were always welcome). Once I did it for a person who yelled at my staff after claiming his tooth was chipped from eating a breadstick (give me a break, it's very soft bread for crying out loud). Later I found out it was the friend of an employee that I had previously terminated. He claimed he bit into a plastic bag tag, which he was unable to produce at the time of the complaint.

I say all this as I can absolutely see Mr Judson placing you on the list because of your outburst. Had I been the manager in this case, I would have probably done the same.

Now, as to the rest of your 'story', I make the following observations from information pieced together from all of your reports here:

1) You are inconsistent with the date this alleged event took place. I've seen everything from May to August 2006. So when exactly was your stay where this all unfolded?

2) You are inconsistent with the sequence of events following your stay. It goes from 'my wife filled out a comment card', to 'my wife commented to the desk clerk about the substandard room (with you nowhere near the front desk)' to 'my reactive outburst with your desk clerk'. Would you care to elaborate and actually give us the true sequence of events from that fateful stay?

3) You are inconsistent regarding your exit from the hotel. In some reports you completed the stay and filled out a comment card upon your departure, in other reports you state you and your disabled wife 'were kicked out' of the hotel. So which is it? Or are you just trying to embellish your story to gain moral support from readers?

4) You have repeatedly stated that Mr Judson 'insinuated' that you were a drug dealer and your wife was a w***e simply because you were placed on the 'Do Not Rent' list, as those are some of the reasons why people are put on that list. So far all I have seen is that this is a conclusion that only you have come to. I can not find anything posted anywhere on the internet that indicates these were the reasons Mr Judson put you on the list.

5) You claim that you filed suit against Motel 6/Accor, and then they filed a counter-suit against you. Yet you have failed to provide any case or docket numbers (which are considered public information), nor have any resourceful searches turned up anything on the internet regarding these 'alleged' cases. You have also asked for donations to help fund your defense against this alleged counter-suit. If such a suit exists, it would behoove you to provide the public case information so that your claim can be verified. If there is no such case, then your actions can be considered mail fraud, and you could get into very serious trouble for soliciting donations.

And finally, here's a point that has been bugging me since I began following your 'saga'. If the room was sub-standard, why didn't you say something to the desk clerk immediately after checking in? I mean, it's not like you didn't realize it was a sub-standard room until the end of your visit, right? After all, you had visited this very Motel numerous times over the previous 10 years, and you should have had sufficient knowledge to know whether or not the room you were assigned was sub-standard. Why not ask for a different room right then?

I hope that you take my comments in the manner of 'constructive criticism' in which they are meant, and that I am not added to your list of the 'Dirty Dozen' (would that make it a Baker's Dozen now?).

Sorry this response was so long, but I had a lot of ground to cover. I look forward to your response and clarifications.

POSTED: Wednesday, December 26, 2007

is that no one but you feels that you have a valid complaint. Some one with a valid complaint would give the whole story, welcome questions and listen to the comments (deciding which to apply and which to ignore(and yes I know you're going to ignore this one)). The "dirty dozen that you mentioned have posted on lots of reports here and have offered very good advise and information to people that have valid complaints. The reasons the majority of people that have posted on your many reports about the same incident have not supported you are: your story has not been consistant; your story has not been given on several of these reports; you attack and threaten people who don't become your cheerleaders and you by your own admission have brought your troubles on yourself.

By the way, I think you might be a little paranoid as my comment about anger management did not have your name and may not have been directed at your. Gee I'm sorry I hit a nerve, it's probably the last one you have.

5/19/07 posted to Teresa - you called her an idiot, irrational, told her to "screw", just real nice post and tone overall.

Look at your post about Uncle Vinny's Pizza (your complaint) where you are believing that you are due 4 free pizzas. Yeah, real professional.

The Lowe's complaint you put in on 12/25/07 where you call a couple of Lowe's employees jokers and proceed to call them a "fat a** and a dwarf". You also call them idiots.

Hmm.. You call Bart an idiot and troll. In fact from a review of your post it seems that idiot is your favorite word.

ANGER MANAGEMENT?

AUTHOR: Dick - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 26, 2007

First of all, I would like to apologize to Accor for thinking they were responsible for the concerted effort of the cyber-harassers; I was wrong, and I do apologize.

I was going to quit posting on this site, but Stride hit a nerve here. You want to talk anger management? I think Lee was being gracious in referring to you cyber-harassers as jackals - you're more like maggots. You crawl around on these complaint sites gnawing away on people already victimized. I hope the FBI does swing into motion and shut you idiots down with a big fine. Why don't you actually try to do something productive and support people with legitimate complaints?

As for me, I'm waaaay past needing anger managment classes for the outrageous treatment we got at the hands of Seaside, Oregon, Motel 6 Manager, Lee Judson screwing us with his stupid Do Not Rent list. It doesn't matter what we say about why we think we know why he did what he did, my friends are already starting to lock up their sheets and towels when they see us coming.

I don't know what bed bug crawled up his a*& last year to make him put us on his list. He apparently was pissed about something or someone and was probably frustrated because he couldn't do anything about it so he decided to take it out on people that he perceived to be helpless.

Guess what managers & maggots? We're not.

Actually the people refered to do post, as is our rights, but our posts are filled with good information and requests for people, especially OPs, to back up their story. It's one thing if someone wants to come here and post about a situation on ONE report. However it's a different thing when someone posts about the same situation on 13 (and counting) reports here, but will never give the complete story. What little is given keeps changing.

And I guess from your "rejected mottos" list you must be one of the striking writers.

d**k, you have to put things in the proper perspective.

While I agree that the aforementioned group of jokers (dirty dozen?) are contrary and antagonistic, they antagonize and harrass EVERYONE on this site equally no matter what the issue is..

I don't think they work for Accor, because if you scan ROR, this same group of jackals just takes the opposite stance as the OP on all posts no matter what the issue, company or position.

I really don't think ANYONE would hire any of these clowns. Why do you think they have all this spare time to rebut every post on this site?

Well, maybe because all of the postings don't require thought.

So you may have a tough time with your case.

And federal inspectors are pretty dang good at getting to the root of things. A BOLI inspector got Judson to change his tune from my wife and I being drug dealers and prostitutes to "Gee, they complained about a substandard room so I put them on my Do Not Rent list."

Black Bart & Buffalo Bob can belch all the blather they can burp to anyone about anything, but I think they'll find that testifying under oath to a federal inspector will be a whole 'nuther thing.

Welcome to the Fray, Jim

AUTHOR: Dick - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, December 23, 2007

Jim: I know that there are two sides to every story. I am sure some of what you are suggesting has been true.

d**k: All of what I'm saying is true and I have the documentation to prove it. If the wild hair screaming blue bloody murder at me on this site wants to come to Oregon and sit in on the trail, he'll see them produced by my attorney.

Jim: I am also sure that some of what the hotel manager claims are true.

d**k: Absolutely none of what he alleges is true - this also will come out in court.

Jim: Besides that, I don't see where you have been ripped off.

d**k: Not sure where you got the idea I was ripped off; I don't recall saying I was - there's a maniac on this site that has been belching up so much crap about this complaint even I don't know what he's talking about 1/2 the time; maybe he said I was.

Jim: You have been put on a do not rent list. If you had paid in advance and were then told you could not stay there and they would not refund the money, then that would be considered a ripoff. You have been inconvenienced.

d**k: No, I was insulted and disrespected by the manager in his letter to the WA BBB where he insinuated I was a drug dealer and my wife a prostitute. This is also fully documented and will be produced in court.

Jim: Is this the only hotel in the area in which you want to visit? I have stayed at a Motel 6 in the past and did not find it to be the best of accomodations. At the time I was on a strict per diem from the company I was working for and it made the best economic sense at the time. I am blessed not to be in that financial situation any longer, and thus would never choose to stay there again.

d**k: My wife & I enjoyed staying there for 10 years.

Jim: If your financial situation is tight, aren't there other hotels or motels in the area that are at least similar in price at which you could stay?

d**k: Of course, it's the principle of the thing.

Jim: If I had been placed on the do not rent list (and been called names, along with my wife), I would not want to patron the establishment again even if they did take me off the list.

d**k: I just don't like the idea of "being kicked out" - put on a Do Not Rent list; good Lord, "Wild Hair" is even hair splitting and getting all technical over my using those terms interchangeably.

Jim: But again, I do not think you have been 'ripped off'.

d**k: I went back over my posts, I can't find where you got that from, unless you're taking it from the name of the site.

Jim: I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year.

d**k: Yupers, you and yours too; man, Arizona is the place to be this time of year, I spent 10 happy years in Phoenix flying Ultralights over South Mountain. I backpacked the Superstitions, climbed Squaw Peak and Picaccho Peak. I LOVED going to that waterworld just out past Scottsdale. In a year or so, I think I'll see my way clear to become an official s****.> P.S. Please disregard Buffalo Robert's posts; I'm not sure what his story is, or what his interest in this is, but he's so far off base he isn't even in the ballpark.

I guess it's official, I'm one of the "dirty dozen" and d**k's given my name to the FBI. Wow, I wonder exactly how much priority you think the FBI is going to place on your report to them. If you made one, you should be worried about possible false reporting charges.
The only reasons I can see for you to feel "humiliated and embarrassed" in all of this is your persistance to keep posting when the successful countersuit against you said not too.
As far as attacks, you're the only one attacking anything. You have continuously attacked Judson & Motel 6.
As far as your wife is concerned, I will say only one thing. In my opinion she must be a saint. That in my opinion is the only person who could put up with you for so long.

I don't see this as a ripoff

AUTHOR: Jim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, December 23, 2007

d**k,

I know that there are two sides to every story. I am sure some of what you are suggesting has been true. I am also sure that some of what the hotel manager claims are true. Besides that, I don't see where you have been ripped off. You have been put on a do not rent list. If you had paid in advance and were then told you could not stay there and they would not refund the money, then that would be considered a ripoff. You have been inconvenienced.

Is this the only hotel in the area in which you want to visit? I have stayed at a Motel 6 in the past and did not find it to be the best of accomodations. At the time I was on a strict per diem from the company I was working for and it made the best economic sense at the time. I am blessed not to be in that financial situation any longer, and thus would never choose to stay there again.

If your financial situation is tight, aren't there other hotels or motels in the area that are at least similar in price at which you could stay? If I had been placed on the do not rent list (and been called names, along with my wife), I would not want to patron the establishment again even if they did take me off the list. But again, I do not think you have been "ripped off". I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year.

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, December 23, 2007

d**k has difficulty telling the truth. He repeatedly tells the world how his "crippled up bad" (his words) wife "sweetly" asked for a discount. Then it was "she filled out a comment card." Now the story has evolved to "they were kicked out" of the motel.

As Gomer Pile would say "surprise, surprise, surprise." d**k claims to have sent a letter to Judson and he posted said letter on (((link redacted))) website:

(((redacted)))

""I apologized for my reactive outburst with your desk clerk, I think we deserve an apology as well; believe me, there are plenty of hard feelings on this end. ""

This seems to prove what many have suspected, that little Dicky had a fit when he didn't get his way. He's been trying to bully the motel ever since with his internet rants.

Now he's trying to bully others.

Don't hold your breath waiting for verifiable evidence of a lawsuit against him. As I've stated before, his donation plea constitutes mail fraud if there is no actual lawsuit against him for the reasons he has stated. Further, any donations he does receive is taxable income under IRS rules.

P.S. I'd like to know the nature of his wife being "crippled up bad." I suspect that claim is just another deliberate misrepresentation of what is really going on.

I'm not holding my breath.

why dont you just go somewhere else to stay instead of motel 6?

I had read this over and over and I do believe motels and hotels and bars have the right to refuse to serve anyone for any reason and I dont know if you know that or not.

This story sounds like sourgrapes to me from two people who expect everything for nothing and when they dont get their way, they resort to lawsuits.

And it is apparent to me that his lovely wife and himself are on fixed income and they need some sort of financial relief in their lives.

As I type this response there have been, not counting the original post, 19 responses posted on this report. 11 of them are from you. Gee if the "ditry dozen" are so overpowering and taking up all the site' response time, how are you able to post so much?

And again, I don't think your actions would constitute "no reason" and you have shown no evidence that Judson insinuated that you were a drug dealer and your wife a w***e. The only one that keeps throwing that around is you. But I guess we all have to have hobbies.

Fact
What is this alleged lawsuit docket number so it can be verified....a question/request you repeatedly avoid at all costs. Fact.
You have been called on it. Where are these mythical "hundreds" of complaints that are NOT authored by you about this company?
No one cares about the mumbo jumbo people like you and your son chuckie post. They want facts that both of you fail to provide in any of your many frivolous complaints looking for attention.

YOU are the one begging for money under the guise that you are being sued after fraudulently suing the hotel looking for a fast buck. You still have yet post this mysterious court docket number in reference to the money you are begging for so that it can be either comfirmed or debunked that it actually exists. My money has always been on "No" and this is the same reason the motel told you to get lost. They don't allow panhandlers to hang around their establishment.

After reading about my travel nightmare with Seaside, Oregon, Motel 6, Lee Judson, I believe the right person or agency will hear of it and the laughing will stop.

As soon as they become aware of it, they will work to rectify the situation immediately, I'm sure.

I'm hoping my story of how a 70 year old man and his crippled wife got kicked out of his motel and then Judson insinuating they're drug dealers and prostitutes based on nothing may touch a nerve with someone, somewhere.

I'm also hoping dozens of other travellers mistreated similarly (so far I've got two)will come forward and express disgust with Judson's egregious abuse of authority.

I hope people who rarely complain will step up to the plate and say how mad they got at his egregious, unprofessional conduct.

Maybe then Accor will review policies and procedures to make sure nothing like this happens with their irresponsible franchisees again.

As for being an e-lawyer wannabe? When you have to mortgage your house to ask an attorney what the hell time it is, you have to learn the law on the run like I'm learning about meds and doctoring this old body.

d**k has crossed the line.

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, December 21, 2007

This goes beyond weird.

Now d**k has changed tactics. Now he's writing letters to State Attorneys General. On the Vent Vent website, under a vent titled "Stop!!!" he claims to have written to the NYS Office of Attorney General to complain about Accor and has implicated me for alleged cyber-bullying/cyber-stalking. Elsewhere, he claims to have complained to the FBI in d**k's world anyone who disagrees with him is an Accor flunky out to harass him.

"" I'm a novice at dealing with cyber-harassment, but Robert is from NY, and they're death on that so I wrote to the NY Attorney General's Internet Problems division, so we'll see how it goes.""

This crosses the line. IMO, d**k is searching for a payday lawsuit. It's clear to me that the Motel 6 is ignoring his ridiculous internet rants, so now he's resorting to complaining to State and Federal agencies about folks who disagree with his convoluted and self-contradicting postings.

If anyone is a bully (cyber or otherwise) it's d**k. Just look at all his posts on the internet. He tried to bully the motel into a discount and when that didn't work he just kept escalating the situation. If we are to believe him, he sued the Motel and is now crying victim because they supposedly countersued.

Now he's trying to bully me and anyone else who might "dare" to disagree with him. He's attempting to use government agencies, that certainly have more important things to investigate, to inflict economic harm and emotional distress on those who don't support his position and have voiced legitimate questions to his "donation plea" and other convoluted internet rants.

The good news is that NY doesn't like false and retalitory complaints. On the OAG website there is a cautionary note:

http://www.oag.state.ny.us/online_forms/complaint_misc.jsp

""Read the following before submitting:
In filing this complaint, I understand that the Attorney General is not my private attorney, but represents the public to enforce laws designed to protect the public from patterns and practices of fraud and discrimination. I also understand that this complaint form is not a lawsuit. I agree that the Attorney General's Office may use its discretion to determine whether an investigation is warranted and may need to contact the person/entity I am complaining about. If I have any questions concerning my legal rights or responsibilities, I should contact a private attorney. The above complaint is true and accurate to the best of my knowledge.

I also understand that any false statement made in this complaint is punishable as a Class A Misdemeanor under Section 175.30 and/or Section 210.45 of the Penal Law.""

I hope the State of Washington has similar laws in its state penal code.

POSTED: Thursday, December 20, 2007

I don't work for anybody.

Quick recap: You shotgunned your posts all over the internet. You get a dose of your own shut-gunning in the form of shotgun rebuttals.

You get IGNORED (by me) for a while and then you shotgun your same posts from months ago all over this website again. Did you repost your "articles" on the other websites? I don't know because I haven't checked, but if your past performance is any indication you most likely have.

I responded to this posting of yours because it appeares to me that now you have changed your tactic from one of "woe is me, I'm a victim" to one of "I'm going to take legal action against those who don't support my perspective."

I have repeatedly tried to get you to understand how you're bringing all this "woe" upon yourself - hardly "stalking" in any manner.

When you first posted your "little group of articles" I IGNORED ALL YOUR POSTS untill you made your "donation plea." That's when I responded to you because I believed your donation plea was disingenuous. I still believe your donation plea is disingenuous because you refuse to post the court case/filing number and identify the court that's going to hear the case.

When someone makes a donation plea it's not unreasonable of a prospective donor to ask for verification of the situation that inspired the donation request. I was interested in your "dilema" at first and I considered making a donation. I tried to determine if this "donation plea" from you was a hoax or not. I tried to verify that there was a lawsuit against you. Had I been able to confirm that you were defending against a lawsuit from the motel, I very likely would have mailed a donation. I couldn't verify any lawsuit against you. I have asked you to confirm this alleged lawsuit repeatedly. So far, to my knowledge, you have refused to provide information, that I or others could use, to verify through government and legal websites, that you are truly fending off a $100,000 countersuit.

I have tried to point things out to you so that you don't create more legal woes for yourself.

I don't believe you have an active lawsuit against the motel or that the motel is actively countersuiting you. I will be happy to explain my actions to any investigator of any law enforcement agency; federal, state or local.

I have a record of ALL my rebuttals to you from here and elsewhere, including how I attempted to help you understand how the "class action lawsuit" process works.

I really believe you will be much happier if you just let this "Motel 6" thing come to a rest. If there were a $100,000 countersuit against you, you seem intelligent enough (to me at least) to realize that you are (IMO) not helping yourself by making all these repetative, convoluted postings about it.

I can't comprehend why you continue this, especially under the (proclaimed by you) threat of lawsuit against you. Unless you're hoping somehow for a payday from the courts. Is that it? Are you now searching for others to sue because the motel seems to be ignoring you?

Here's an idea. Why don't you give this a rest until after the new year? I think if you step away from this matter for a week or two without going online to read or write about it, you will feel better put it out of your mind for a few days. Maybe take a trip and visit your kids. Seems to me your obsessed with this thing.

Oh! Merry Christmas to you and yours.

HAVE A NICE DAY

AUTHOR: Dick - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 18, 2007

O.K., Robert from Buffalo, NY, I made it clear to Striderq that I felt I was being harassed by you and the dozen or so other people who constantly antagonized me by posting pejorative comments about me regarding Motel 6, an issue that (I'm assuming) you have absolutely no interest in and you chose to not only ignore it but make fun of my concern.

Well, New York takes cyber harassment/stalking very seriously; I don't know where in Buffalo you live, but when the proper agency dealing with cyber harassment/ stalking in the Attorney General's office gets my complaint, I'm sure they'll figure it out and you'll be hearing from them.

Attorney General
Andrew Cuomo
CYBER HARASSMENT/STALKING
Cyber harassment/stalking is the use of e-mail, web sites, instant
messaging, chat rooms, cell phone text messaging and digital
cameras to antagonize and intimidate others. Here are a few
suggestions to avoid cyber harassment, and actions to take. ...

Now if you actually are connected with Accor and it can be proven that they urged you to stalk and harass me, then it is a federal offense and the government takes that very seriously. I can't figure that out, but the government has the resources to investigate. Therefore, I will also be contacting the FBI and maybe Accor will be hearing from them.

Wanna make a bet, Robert? If the FBI actually does launch an investigation into this matter and if you are involved and if you are supoenaed to testify, I'm guessing Accor will say you acted on your own and they never even heard of you.

Then sue yourself d**k

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 18, 2007

""I'm taking it that you are insinuating I'm a baby and crying like one. I feel tormented, threatened, harassed, humiliated, embarrassed by this implication and others you've made and feel you are targeting me using the Internet.""

""This is actionable and if you don't cease and decease, I will seek relief. If it can be proven you were encouraged to stalk me the instigator wil be liable as well.""

This should be good. You sue yourself. You countersue yourself. You counter-countersue yourself. You counter-counter-countersue yourself etc. ad nauseam.

You have been bringing this all upon yourself d**k so the instigator of all these postings is you.

I'm still waiting to learn the filing number/court of this alleged $100,000 countersuit. I'd be happy to learn the filing number/court of your alleged suit.

Did you talk to the good folks at USPS to learn how to avoid mail fraud charges yet?

You do know that any donations that came in to aid your "defense fund" are taxable income. Your standing as a "truckstop minister" does not make donations for your lawsuit defense tax exempt. In fact, your plea for donations across the intenet might actually cause you quite a bit of trouble with the IRS.

Here's a hypothetical for you to ponder: Suppose you received $10,000 in donations to help your "ministry" and another $1000 to help your legal defense. By using the same PO Box for BOTH, the IRS could decide to claim the ENTIRE $11000 is for your defense and taxable. Of course, your multiple posting of your DONATION PLEA will further support such a conclusion by the IRS.

And then we have the use of the USPS to receive such donations. As I've posted before, if your gonna use the postal service to receive donations to defend against a lawsuit, there better be a real lawsuit and you better have legitimate legal fees for defending against said lawsuit. Otherwise, it's considered mail fraud.

Better check with the IRS as well as the US Postal Inspector.

Gee d**k, for someone who likes to give it out so much it doesn't seem like you can take it very well.

I have asked questions and pointed out inconsistencies in your many reports posted here that are all on the same incident. Gee, that's "cyberbullying". Posting my opinion of the stuff you post. I don't believe that I have ever "attack"ed you directly, but reading some of your posts concerning Judson I'd have to say that if we accept your definition that you would be guilty too.

CYBERBULLIES

AUTHOR: Dick - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, December 17, 2007

Bart, Kim, Keel, Stacey, Cory, Striderq, Margaret, Duane, Tom, & Robert.

Who are these people and what do they all have in common?

With no vested interest in me or my dispute with Accor's Seaside, Oregon, Motel 6, they have all attacked me personally, repeatedly, made disparaging comments and made pejorative remarks about me on RipOffReport.com.

This is by definition, Cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is willful and involves recurring or repeated harm inflicted through the medium of electronic text. Bullying intends to cause emotional distress and has no legitimate purpose to the choice of communications.

But why would all these people conspire to go to that site and attack me? What or who would make them do that? Someone with a vested interest in the dispute I have with Accor/Motel 6 would, that's who.

Cyberbullying can constitute a computer crime. For example, in the United States it is a federal crime to anonymously "annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any person" via the internet or telecommunication system, punishable by a fine and/or up to two years imprisonment.

THE SCREWIN' YOU GET AFTER THE SCREWIN' YOU GOT

AUTHOR: Dick - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, December 16, 2007

LAWYERS!

The fun doesn't stop after you have a consumer complaint. Then the attorneys take the handoff. Take this example of duplicity for example:

Seaside Motel 6 Manager, Lee Judson, disrespected my wife and me by putting us on his nefarious Do Not Rent list claiming we were nasty people; I complained.

His attorney said they made four "good faith" efforts to resolve the matter. Sure, and here is what they were:

1. 11/21/06 We were told we were taken off the list; oh goodie, when I got that letter I tried to make a reservation and was informed I couldn't because they have TWO Do Not Rent lists...!

2. 12/1/06 Again we were told we were taken off the list; called for a reservation; sorry, sir, you're still on the second Do Not Rent list.

3. 1/11/07 After telling the WA BBB and God only knows who else in November we were the scum of the earth, they said they never did.

4. 4/18/07 Their fourth "good faith" effort to resolve the matter was a personal letter from Judson to me suggesting he might make copies of my file and send it to all the lodging establishments as an informational handout.

What the hell!? And they have the onions to call that good faith efforts at reconciliation!

These guys emit an air of overwhelming duplicity combined with some unspecific nastiness, like a black widow spider in heat.

NUTTIEST EVER

AUTHOR: Dick - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, December 07, 2007

Actually, a year later, we still don't know why Judson slammed two of his most faithful guests on that stupid list.

He wrote a letter of apology for a glitch and invited us back.

Then blasted us on his Do Not Rent list.

He's given a couple of reasons, the latest being that I was rude to an employee, but if this was the case, then why did he apologize, even asking me in a letter to forgive him, and invite us to make another reservation?

The whole thing is the nuttiest travel nightmare I've ever experienced in 50 years on the road over half the planet.
