As of 5/8/2006, the US Art & Frame shop in Parker Square of Flower Mound, Texas owned by John C. Golfis was locked up by the leasing office for not paying rent. They had received several complaints about Golfis taking frame orders and asking for payment up front then not delivering the products.
He and his wife, Mary Ding Golfis "worked" at the store together. He would attempt to stall customers by coming up with excuses and lies in order to keep their money and never delivering their products. Do not trust one word John C. Golfis says!

The Flower Mound, Texas police department has been very helpful in assisting people ripped-off by John C. Golfis.
Anyone that has been ripped-off by John C. Golfis should report their incident to police right away so that police can quantify the true magnitude of his rip-offs to successfully prosecute him and stop him from hurting more people.
Only by reporting your situation to police can John C. Golfis be stopped.
He may have told you things to scare you into not seeking help or "string you along" with more lies to keep you from going to police. He may pay you a small amount from another person he ripped-off to cause you to believe you'll recover your losses with him...eventually. This is known as an age-old "Ponzi Scheme". Don't believe his lies. And NO, he is not working for the FBI, nor does he have a Secret Clearance! These lines have been used for 30 years.
Unfortunately, he has also used violence to control victims. He has even filed false police reports against his victims claiming HE IS THE VICTIM of their harassment when all they want is their money back or to warn the next person being targeted by him.
California civil case Golfis v. Lee shows that he falsely sued one of his female victims in an attempt to keep her from going to the FBI and police. She lost thousands and worse. He did this by swindling the attorney who filed this suit. The attorney lost thousands to John C. Golfis as did several top law firms including Fulbright and Jaworski (multiple times and in excess of $75,000).
Many top attorneys across the country have been ripped-off by John C. Golfis but NONE have shown the courage to report him to police. The list of attorneys is well documented and the total rip-off from attorneys alone is staggering (over $1 million). Even the California attorney who filed his bankruptcy case was ripped-off by John C. Golfis. This was after he had been forewarned that he was about to be ripped-off but laughed and said he was a "big boy" and could handle him.
Know that you are NOT alone. If top attorneys are being ripped-off, this is not happening to stupid people. It is happening because not enough people are reporting their incidents to police and John C. Golfis knows how to isolate his targets from eachother.
Don't be afraid. YOUR report to police may be the one that finally stops him. THE POLICE NEED YOUR HELP.

Why Texas? Numerous people were ripped off by John C. Golfis in Los Angeles, California, prior to his arrival in Texas in 2005. These rip-offs occurred while he was under the "close" supervision of a certain California parole agent. During this time, John C. Golfis should have been violated and sent back to prison if he had been properly investigated and found to be operating a business. By using simple Internet searches, citizens tried to do the right thing by providing his parole agent with his business name, address, phone numbers and other significant evidence but NOTHING happened. Instead, it is believed John C. Golfis may have conned his parole agent with "politeness", as he was released from parole in mid 2005, enabling him to flee to Texas.
FACT: The record shows that John C. Golfis WAS operating a business in California the ENTIRE time he was being "supervised" by California Parole. And, now victims are coming forward to tell their stories, but apparently, California has washed their hands of John C. Golfis.
YOU have the power to stop him. On 9/12/01, John C. Golfis was convicted of "2 Strikes". 3 Strikes may result in life behind bars. Texas police have shown they care about its citizens and do take complaints seriously by taking action.
