ASAP Masonry and Construction Corp., Jose Diaz Joe Roselle Mike 10,000 in Damages to my Property Union, New Jersey

I agreed to have my front porch restored and my backyard pavers maintained by this company. I also agreed to have the leak in my basement coming from the back of the house assessed. This assessment would involve removing pavers to see the foundation as per our discussion.  My son was a witness to the conversation about the assessment. We signed a contract, I gave him a deposit, and work began on May 1, 2024. The director and his crew of two arrived at my home as I was leaving to go to a doctor's appointment. When I returned home the workers had torn up the concrete on both sides of my house and dirt was being dug and dumped onto my driveway and neighbor's walkway. The "director" reassured me that it was going to be alright. The next morning, he told me that there were cracks in my foundation, and I needed a retaining wall. He showed me a picture of a wall he had done recently and told me it would cost $35000. I told him calmly he had to close it up and fix the damage.

 
I looked as saw that the foundation was intact. To be clear, I wasn't getting any water in my basement from the sides of the house. It was never discussed by me or the "director" that the sides of the house would be inspected. My concerns were not addressed about the water coming from the back. A friend who is a construction manager inspected the foundation that evening and confirmed that there were no cracks. 

 
The next morning the "director" came back and offered to seal the foundation for $15000 instead of the $35000 retaining wall. I called another number on the ASAP website and spoke to a guy who identified himself as Joe Roselle. He also has an Irish Accent. He said he would take care of the problem and that Mike would be fired.  The dirt was backfilled, and new cement was poured. It is a terrible job. Monday morning I called the NJ Bureau of Consumer affairs and found out that this comapny holds a current license under the name Jose Diaz and the same telephone number as "Joe Roselle".  I called him again and asked to speak to Jose Diaz.  He claimed to be him;.I saw Mike in my neighborhood scamming somone else.  I knocked on their door and warned them about him.

I have estimates to repair my driveway and replace the side walkway in the ballpark of 10,000.  They destroyed my property and should not be able to get away with it.
