jerry who filed the report bought the boat through our boat consignment yard. the boats we sell are not ours so we make the buyer sign a statment that the boats are sold as is. They should have a mechanical inspection. They should have a se-trial. and the buyer signs a statement that he has done all of the above and accepts the boat.

jerry had a mechanical inspection which the engine was deemed in good working condition. jerry had a sea-trialfor as long as he needed to confirm the boat was in good working condtion. jerry signed the acceptance stating all the above was to his satisfaction and that it is a used boat as is with no warranty.

jerry took the boat home that weekend and used it. he is an inexperienced boater and broke the boat. he took it back to the mechanic. the mechanic took over six months to attempt to fix it and by that time jerry said the motor was locked up.

jerry was told by the mechanic to call his insurance company to place a fraudulent claim. the insurance company denied it so he then blamed us.

he threatend one of the salespeople. the charlotte county sherriff was called. the sheriff called jerry. jerry was disrespectful to the sheriff. the sheriff angerly said if he was from this county he would be arrested due to his conduct. the sheriff advised us to call immediately if he comes to our place of business.

we told jerry before he become unruly and demanding that we would help him in any way we could. we mailed ceritfied mail that we would help as we could and the contrcts he signed knowing when he picked up the boat it was in good mechanical conditon.

if he continues we will sue him for false statements and defamation of character.
