All you seem to want to do here is start a fight with a named group of people, but you are wanting to do it on Tyrone's ROR. Please don't muddle up other peoples ROR with your personal crusades against those who don't agree with you on your ROR's.

Until Tyrone scans and posts the bill, no one will know what the $729.95 charge is covering. Was that final cost for just one vehicle or for two vehicles? That is why John posted his response the way he did. Tyrone was having Big 10 Tires work on his 2001 Expedition. Tyrone says that it would not start. That would make everyone assume that it had to be towed in. The towing could be part of that charge.

Different pumps are required for different engines in the 2001 Expedition. Some require the entire fuel module to be replaced. Thus different prices. Taking into consideration of the final bill, it is doubtful that Tyrone took his own part to them for installation. Had he brought in his own part and the pump failed, Big 10 would not be responsible to make a free labor and part replacement.

Since Big 10 most likely made a outside purchase for the part, they would also do a justifiable markup. If they had to get the part from a Ford dealer, it will cost more. This is why I ask that you scan and post the bill. To let everyone see it. If the bill is only for 1 vehicle and is only for installation of the pump, then I think it is excessive. Albeit, it maybe a normal charge at some of the larger national chain shops.

This is where it helps to fully read the ROR, and not just start an attack on someone as Glenn did. Tyrone said that after they replaced the fuel pump on the Expedition, he only went two miles down the road in his JEEP before the car engine shut down.

Now the Jeep is a complete loss. How does a fuel pump replacement on a Expedition make a complete vehicle loss on a Jeep? This is why I asked if the work done was for just one or two of Tyrone's vehicles. If it is just for the Expedition, I have no idea how that figures into the complete loss of his Jeep. Maybe it was just a type-o.

I do not understand how a fuel pump failure could cause any kind of vehicle to be written off as a complete loss. If the pump was provided by Big 10, and failure of that pump is what is keeping your vehicle off of the road, then you have a strong case against Big 10. If there is more to the story, please share it.

if you came to me and blamed me for your Jeep failing after putting a part in a Ford Expedition. You also never mentioned what the "damage" was. I seriously doubt a store is the reason you have no car.
