Mr. "Eliot" (Last Name Unknown) at BoatsToGo.com has made a serious mistake by not listening to his customer and choosing to argue his philosophy rather than supplying Warrantied replacement components for products he sells through his business at BOATSTOGO.COM, based in Miami Fl.
I have ordered, and received a model SK470 Inflatable KaBoat. The boat required an inspection by me, as I would do for any product ordered and received over the internet. This was an approximate $800 purchase.
After initial testing in a local lake, nothing was found to be amiss. However, upon a very careful inspection of the boat inside my home, I discovered a crack in the motor mount plate attached to the boat's transom; The outer black panel has a cracked screw mounting hole, which could certainly lead to more difficulties later in the boats life, AFTER the warranty is expired.
Asking for a replacement panel of BoatsToGo's Sales Manager/Owner? got me excuses, deflection, and now promises to send me GRAY panels, which are NOT the matching color to the original. Furthermore, I have been advised to simply RETURN the boat (A massive undertaking on my part) and get my money back. The management of BoatsToGo seems unwilling to honor their responsibility to their warranty, an FTC violation, at least. My understanding of ISO Parts Availability Standards say that spare parts are to be made available to consumers in the event of this kind of manufacturing issue. Apparently BoatsToGo operated outside of that requirement.
The boat arrived to my Fed Ex pick up center with severe carton damage. This was pointed out to BoatToGo on several occasions, and with photos taken at the scene of pickup. These were sent to Eliot. No comment was made. Communications are becoming very strained.

In your post you say will provide replacement parts, but you refused as they will be a slightly diferent colour.
Or you can return the boat for your money back.
I get the impression you have not read your warranty or the warranty policies of your retailer.
With out a doubt I am sure the retailer would replace the panels with the "correct" colour, but if they aren't available, what else can be done?
You knew you were ordering off the net and any warranty issues would have to be delt with the same way but you won't do your part and ship it back for a refund.
Just another foolish customer that doesn't think the rules apply to you.
So any strain in your comunication with the retailer is your fault, you are simply unreasonable.

BoatsToGo.com has apparently understood the meaning of customer service all of a sudden, after receiving a link to the FTC guidelines re: warranty responsibilities, and my RipOff report. I will, they say, be receiving my replacement part in the next shipment from Korea he receives, possibly 2-3 months.
