BPS Worldwide Merchant Services Cherry Hill New Jersey. Coastal Merchant Services TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL LEFT HAND DOES NOT KNOW WHAT THE RIGHT IS DOING COST ME MUCH AGGRAVATION HAD TO CHANGE BANK ACCOUNTS Internet, Internet

*Consumer Comment: Did you even read what you signed?
Like many merchant service company's they do not tell all that is in a contract.
1. They never provided any services.
2.They billed me $40.99 for services NOT rendered.
3.They said there would be a $400.++ early account termination fee.
4.No equipment was provided.
5.No programming of existing equipment was done.
6.No mention of a 3 year contract?
7. I had to close my bank account-re open with new number to avoid their mistakes.
8.Inform all electronic debit accounts of new numbers.
9. Order new checks-deposit slips-imprinters.
The cost in aggravation, stress, and time lost does not compare to the new set up costs.

No mention of a 3 year contract? That's standard?

First of all it was MY equipment they were to re-program.
Second they were called 3+times at their 1-800-bull$hit number=Incompetence.
Third I jumped thru all the hoops to get them to realize they have NOT provided me with a service, and all I got was a confirmation number, and a second notice that there would be an early termination fee for canceling for their lack of service.
Granted the person at 1-800-bull$hit most likely didn't know what they were doing. This all took place over the period of 5 weeks without a single call from BPS. It wasn't until a week after signing up with another service I received a call from a VERY apologetic lady from BPS.
Now when confronted face to face toe to toe I'm generally not expecting someone to LIE to me (come on this is not politicians we're talking about) "mike in West Palm Beach" are you a used car salesman? My guess is not. As used car salesmen have more morals than the merchant services representatives I have seen lately.
As far as a 3 year contract as being "standard" O really why not a 5 year or longer as some HAVE POINTED OUT. If this is the only way these people can get merchants to sign (meaning not pointing out long contracts, early termination fees, and hidden costs in the ultra small writing) than I guess we all had better have a contract lawyer examine any paperwork before signing. And whats this 30 days to cancel. Get real if your service is so good how about 6 MONTHS to prove what you have said is true in the from of the monthly statements.
Now in retrospect "Had the representative TOLD the TRUTH" and pointed out all fees in reality I may have still signed, skipping,or not pointing out important parts is something we don't expect people to do to business people that have more important things to do.

No mention of a 3 year contract? That's standard...whatever you signed when you filled out the application had all the information you needed. I've worked with BPS and PAI for 6 years and have never had an issue with them. It sounds like you didn't read what you signed and now have remorse for it. They don't make any real money until you use a machine, all you had to do is call an 800# and they would've helped you set up your current machine right then and there. Furthermore the fee's are shared and go to the processing bank and other entities not just BPS. You could've very easily purchased a machine yourself instead of waiting around and getting angry over your lack of due dilligence in reading the contract. You cancelled with them and changed your bank accounts violating their contract...you are lucky they didn't pursue you further. I can't stand when ignorant people complain about their ignorance...it's waste of time. Good luck with whomever you chose instead of them...you will see that they are all the same...expect in this case BPS is a great company and didn't/doesn't deserve to be on here. Read what you sign...business 101 buddy. Good luck. Sincerely..good luck.
