Brady Bowen was involved in breach of contract and committing accounting fraud in order to steal funds from an independent film. Brady Bowen is the owner / managing partner / producer of Archstone Distribution company.

  1. Producers were rushed to sign the agreement with them because they pretended they were in a rush to the international film market and they really wanted to put our film in the roster.
  2. Brady Bowen (Archstone Distribution ) signed a contract on our behalf with Domestic Distributor and that contract states the producers are not on that contract. So domestic distributor will not provide us with accounting.
  3. Every time accounting was late and only arrived after numerous requests from producers. This was 1st breach of contract and failure by agent to do their duties and provide proper accounting on time.
  4. They attempted to steal our Domestic Advance even though the contact specifically stated not to be used for international expenses. They did correct the mistake but in process still faked accounting slightly so they can steal additional funds.
  5. Once they collected all the Market Fees and Expenses the sales of movie completely stopped and the next payment that was due to us was delayed by a year.
  6. Now producers have no choice but to proceed with action against the company and executives trying to recover stolen funds and new payments they collected. We believe they run an accounting scheme where they are paying bills and other payments to old clients from producer funds they don't own.

Independent and Established producers should be made aware of  Brady Bowen and Archstone Distribution shady business dealings, breach of contract, accounting fraud, and theft producer funds.

Reply to breach of contract accusation

First of all I exited the company, Archstone Distribution over a half a year ago and for you to report something like this about me here is really unreasonable considering I have never been involved with accounting. Now without knowing what the film is and who you are its difficult to give an exact rebuttal to comment on since this was reported but I will try and address your points to the best of my ability.

  1. I am not sure what the film or what the market your referencing was but typically its preffered to provide each buyer enough time to evalute a film so going into a market they can make an offer so timing is important for anyone on both the buying and selling side.
  2. Again without knowing exactly what the film is, makes it difficult to reply to this but if you have some issue with any of the domestic accounting contact Archstone or the distributor where the agreement was signed with. I never handled any of the accounting as that was not at all my business.
  3. I was never involved with any of the accounting or have any expertise with it when I was at Archstone.
  4. Again I was not involved with accounting at all but to suggest theft was commited is absured as I have always had prided us when I was there with transparency.
  5. Without knowing who you are or what the film is makes it difficult to provide an exact rebuttal for your accusation. Also again since I had left the company nearly eight months now I can’t exactly reply on Archstones behalf for what could have caused a delay. I must say that the film distribution and sales business is extremely challenging and for you to have ever thought otherwise is absurd. To think Archstone or any company for that matter would have ever stopped selling your film because the market fees were collected and that is it, is ridiculous. If a film does well, a company makes there money on the commission not fees.
  6. Even though I haven’t been at the company for sometime to state that funds were stolen seems completely out of line. I am not sure what the film is or what your communication with Archsone has been but I would have them reply. Again not having any accounting experience I am not sure why this is all being directed at me but if I didn’t provide the best service under my watch while I was there then I am truly sorry for that but to accuse me of things I had no involvement with is simply unfair and completely erroneous.
