The information provided in this report below is based on comments made by Frank Blacketer during an onsite inspection held by a third-party verification company with no biases towards Branson’s Nantucket.

Branson's Nantucket is a private residence club located in Branson, Missouri. It is the newest timeshare in Branson overlooking Table Rock Lake. Frank Blacketer stated the following about his company, "our units are Cape Cod style, so they are very different from anything else that is around. Our units they have crows nests that you can take an elevator up to and sit out and overlook the lake. Our owner has set this up with the thoughts of operating a little bit differently. And what we do we try to emphasize on the care of our owners we try to offer customer service which is something that is hard to find in this industry. And really want our owners to have a positive outlook on owning a timeshare"

Leads for Branson's Nantucket are obtained primarily through off property consultants. These consultants will assist individuals with any questions they have about Branson's attractions, "we will find out what needs they have while they are in town and try to take care of those needs as far as shows or whatever if they would be willing to give us 90 minutes of their time while they are in town to see our resort. We also phone rooms that call folks and sell discounted packages for around $119 that gives them lodging and shows and food vouchers while they are in town. And by coming in at that very very low price they agree to a 90-minute presentation while they are here." Through this seminar, the individual can choose to purchase additional services from Branson's Nantucket. Potential clients can additionally reach out via phone and their websites.

CUSTOMER CARE & COMPLAINT RESOLUTION – BRANSON’S NANTUCKET

Mr. Blacketer was asked to describe a situation where a client was not satisfied with the level of service they received. Mr. Blacketer expressed that clients will sometimes experience buyer's remorse, "we find sometimes folks didn’t understand whether it was explained properly or not, and our people have five days to get out of it no questions asked. There are people who call who are well beyond those five days and we take each one on a case by case situation we refund a lot of people who are past the five days because they didn’t understand, or it was not explained properly so but those are the things we deal with the most. The most common one we deal with is buyer’s remorse."

When asked to comment on complaints posted on Ripoff Report's website Mr. Blacketer expressed that the reports on Ripoff Report were written by past employees. Some reports were created by accident while others referenced an employee who has since been fired from his position at Branson's Nantucket. Branson's Nantucket takes the point of view of their employees with the utmost importance and works to resolve all presented issues.

When asked what type of changes they have made to honor their commitment to making things right with the consumer per the request for Ripoff Report, Mr. Blacketer stated, "we have added to our customer service. We probably have one of the largest customer service staff of any type of company we have so our customers can talk to someone and not leave messages. We changed our reservation system in October to where reservations are made right here through the resort no longer through RCI so our customers can be assured an easier process. We record all our closings now to where we can go back and see if there was anything that wasn’t explained properly to the customer. So, we are constantly doing things to improve our customer service."

I was contacted by these scammers to look at their timeshare. In the presentation they pointed to a resort and told me that the clubhouse was theirs and they are adding on a new phase and showed me the pictures. I learned very quickly that they were lying, the resort and clubhouse they showed was someone else's and is private. We bought their product in Sept of 2009; told us we could start making reservations the first of the year; excited to do so, only to find out, Our salesman vastly mis-represented our purshase.  When I read this #7 report, stated he as an x-empoyee were told not to lie or they would be fired? ?  Interesting.  Our salesperson is still there!   He lied so much to us, we don't know what to believe if ANY of our purshase is correct!   Very Disappointed. :(

This is an update to the above consumer comment #6. I was the design consultant on this project that produced all of the renderings for Branson's Nantucket.

Since Oct 10th, 2009 (the original posting date), things have been solved and I have been paid. It was a huge mis-understanding on both sides of the party.

Jeff Patter is not the owner of the property; the owner is based out of St. Louis MO. Once I was able to contact the owner directly, he offered to pay me that day.

Since then I have talked with the owner, and he has shown evidence that they do in fact pay their bills on time and the project is not in any type of financial trouble.

I would rather the above posting be removed from the website as it is nothing but false statements now, but RipoffReport.com's policy is to never remove postings and rely on consumers to make retractions.

I do apologize to Branson's Nantucket and the owner; it was all a big mis-understanding. The project is in good financial position and they do offer a good service to their clients.

All statements on this website about Bransons Nantucket should be disregarded, as they are not a good reflection of the companies service or intensions.

I am an Ex-Employee of the Property that you are talking about so I have no motive what so every to even respond to this. But that I am telling the truth. The people there were very nice to us, we went for a tour there to be real honest to just get the $70 they offered beause we were broke and instead they offered us jobs.

It could have been that you got with a sales person that was not so honest. They have finished the first model, and there are two more almost finsihed that have the elevators in and are built. They foundation is laid for at least 4 more as well as they have broken ground on the the whole property. This is an AWESOME property and they have many programs they can work with you on according to what you need. They do not have the club house built yet but the whole project is set to be finished in 18 months. I know first hand because I worked there and toured people on the property. They have the best NEW property in town. The only reason I am not still there is because I am going into the music field where I am called.

I would suggest that you tour again and ask for Judi, see what they have done since then and tell them of your last experience, I am quite sure they will try to make it up to you because our training was all about NOT lieing to the customer in fact they said if we lied we would be fired on the spot! Just wanted to let you know!

Branson's Nantucket does not pay their bills

   I was a design consultant on Bransons Nantucket. I am an architect out of St. Louis Missouri. I created all of the renderings that you see on their website and in their showroom.

   I was contracted by John Silver (no longer works there) and James Lansfield (still employed at Branson's Nantucket) to do $8,000 worth of renderings of their new clubhouse, individual units, and interior renderings of their individual units. I worked for close to a month solid on these renderings, producing them in a timely manner and making changes per John and James' requests. Once I was finished, I produced the files for them to print the show room boards and for their website. I invoiced them end of May 2009, they had 30 days to pay, which would have made payment due end of June 2009. It is mid October now, and I am still yet to receive payment. I have started calling them on a daily basis, 9 days straight currently, and multiple times a day, I can tell the receptionist is starting to get annoyed.

   When I call, I ask to talk to either James Landsfield or Jeff Patter (I believe he is one of the owners). Every time they ask who is calling, I immediately get the response "he has just stepped away from his desk", or "he is in a meeting". I ask for either one of their cell phone numbers, and I am told that they don't keep anyones cell phone number on file. I could believe that they are busy and in meetings, but c'mon we live in a society (especially construction) where employers keep their employees cell phone numbers on file. I can deal with the run around but don't lie to me.

   Not only have I not been paid, but also the interior designers and project architects have not been paid. This isn't a bill that they can just brush to the side. This will have consequences on the future owners of the property. Legally, the design team can put a lien on the property for failure to pay for intellectual property. Once the lien is in place and we have still not been paid, once all of the units are sold off and the developer is gone, it will be the new condo owners responsibilities to pay that lien. The new condo owners will not be able to do a resale of their property until all liens are clear of the property. It is much like a mechanics lien.

   The other issue here at hand is the copyright infringement. Like I said previous, they are currently using images, to which they have not paid for, on their website and in their showroom. There are serious penalties for copyright infringement.

All of the renderings you see on the website are the items I am referring to in this post.

   All we want is just to be paid, that is it. The development is a great idea, and I hear they are selling like hotcakes, but if you are interested in buying one of these condos, it might be a good idea to do your homework on the developers and make sure you are not getting yourself into a scam that might be hard to get out of. I would be asking lots of questions if it were me. If you Google "Branson Nantucket" you will find lots of posts for these people trying to scam individuals.

 I'll post back once we get paid, but until then, you can assume we have not been.

I'm not sure how a personal attack on a member of our team has anything to do with our operations or the submitted report on our company. The knowledge you appear to possess indicates that you aren't just a "casual reader" who happened upon this report. However, since you bring up a warrant for arrest I feel obligated to respond.

If you would continue doing research you would have found that the charges were dismissed by the judge and the "bad checks" were checks that had stop payment issued on them. I can't go into details because there is a scheduled court date.

I would like to say that we are committed to our operations, our customers, and our employees. If you have a personal problem with one of our employees or a personal problem with our company we would like to ask you to handle the gripes in a more professional and ethical manner. I would like to also recommend researching libel laws in regards to information you wish to spread on the internet. In addition to libel laws, I would suggest that you review the terms of service for this website, paying specific attention to item 2 which states, "You will NOT post on ROR any defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, obscene, profane, offensive, threatening, harassing, racially offensive, or illegal material, or any material that infringes or violates another party's rights".

Since you have decided to register for a website as anonymous in order to comment on a questionable claim a lot of flags are raised in regards to your identity. A public smear campaign is unethical, unprofessional, and does a disservice to everyone.

Just a reader adding a comment which can be verified on missouri case net. The sales/project director of Branson Nantucket within the last 2 months had a warrant out for his arrest due to passing bad checks.
That is Branson Nantucket.

First I'd like to apologize for any misinformation that you may have received on behalf of Lifetime Destinations or Branson's Nantucket. The date of your complaint is May 4, 2009 which is before our sales center was even open. Because of that fact alone, I'm a little concerned with someone possibly misrepresenting our company.

There are nearby resorts that aren't happy about the purchase and development of the land that is soon to be the home of Branson's Nantucket. I'm not accusing them of delivering false information in an attempt to hurt us, or that you are in someway representing one of those resorts (though it is suspicious because you site Super Market Merchandising And Supply whose business is not related to our business other then in regards to ownership). I'm simply saying that there is a lot of cause for slander.

We believe that we're offering a superior product for a competitive price. Our units are going to be the largest in Branson, all of them modern, and all of them with a view of the lake. This has a couple of the other timeshare resorts a little worried. However, we believe that competition is good and it helps consumers get the best product for the best price.

You certainly are correct that our first building isn't completed yet, we're working on finishing it as I type this. You're also correct that our major amenities which include the clubhouse are not scheduled to be constructed until phase 3 of the resort. If anyway this information was given in a way to mislead you by a true representative of our company then I sincerely apologize.
