I sent a check for $550 to Action Card, PO Box 790211, St. Louis, 63179 during March. The check was deposited in St. Louis to Huntington National Bank. My account balance, according to Action Card, remains unchanged one month later.
I contacted Bankfirst/Action Card's service contractor "Cardholder Services, P.O. Box 2394, Omaha NE 68103-2394". However I do not feel the use of a contractor absolves Bankfirst/Action Card of their responsibility to ensure that customer accounts are handled responsibly.
I have called several times. There is only one number they provide. After navigating their annoying and deficient response system, I've had to wait up to 20 minutes each time to talk to a person. Each time, the people who answer the phone - including Supervisors I've requested to talk with - have all tried to help me, but it's clear the organization has problems.
There is another office "Payment Research" the phone people keep having to refer to, and their policy doesn't allow me to contact this office directly. The office refuses to call me back on my phone line, after multiple requests forwarded to them.
I have also sent a letter to their Dispute Resolution office in Atlanta, again requesting someone to call me. That letter was ignored. I faxed the front and back images of the cancelled check to the Payment Research office, again requesting a call back.
No response. Now, when I call the Customer Service number, the call response system repeatedly cuts me off, each time first saying "Please wait for Customer Service" then "Your call cannot be connected, please call back."
