Is it possible to call and threaten a person of an account more than 10 years old?

That's what happened to me and I was threatened over the phone! The man said he was coming to get the money and I assume that this type of thuggery is against the law, no?

Any recourse?

Camco-inc has 124 filed complaints against them with the better business bureau of Northern Illinois.



Under Illinois State law, A collection Agency must be registered & Licensed under the Dept of Professional Regulation, where Camco-inc has no record.



Please file a complaint with the Illinois Dept of professional Regulation..u can do it online...the more the better!



In some instances & State Laws it is a criminal Offence to harass citizens in attemping to collect a debt. Espcially after the statute of limitations as well long expired after 7yrs. I urge you to call your local authotities and attorney generals office.



Camco provides no proof what so ever in attempting to collect monies and has urged people to pay even if it is not their debt due to error or an identity mix up.
