I just checked my bank statement, and found a debit charge of $79.95 for CIC Credit Monitor. I recall coming across their website, based on their claim of a free credit report, but opted not to take their service once they requested my card number. I don't know how they got my #. I am especially concerned that they also knew my SSN, my mother's maiden name, my DOB, etc. that they obviously did not get from me!!!!!
I may contact the State Attorney General here in VA.
