website used to be helpful when it was free, then they started charging $99/year to list your crashpad or $9.99/6 months to search for crashpads. I contacted the admin to have them remove my listing since I can't even access my listing unless I pay $99, AND it's not in their interest to remove listing because it's one less listing on the website. I haven't heard anything yet since contacting the website and still get emails from them regarding crashpad seekers. And instead of placing advertisements like any other site, they decide to charge this ridiculous amount of money.

Original report written back in August 2016, which price was $99/6 months. Original email set back in Feb 17, 2016 (with no response).

Body of the email "Hey guys, I haven't been in charge of my crashpad in years, but my listing is still up. Please help remove my listing/delete my account."

I included my crashpad listing/my email, but if you search "SFO" airport "1crewrest " it is still Crashpad411.

I have tried to log back into my account, but the site responds "oops! Your email or password did not match." Okay...recover password (type in email), but the site repsonds with ""Oh no! Mechanical...Your email information could not be found or is misspelled. Please check spelling and try again."

So yes, they did remove my account, great. But they did not remove my listing (which at the time I was still getting called/text/emails) from crews looking for a crashpad.

I understand it's difficult running a flying, and running a business at the same time. That's why I got rid of my crashpad. I don't believe it's honest for a business to keep up bogus listings, and you're wasting time for those who are actually trying to find a crashpad (usually new hires).

Hello all,

We at CrashPad411.com do everything we can to run a fair, honest and reliable website.

I, myself am the owner as well as a flight attendant, so everyone know flight attendant wages aren't much. The website grew so much that I had to hire someone to answer support emails, pay programmers to build new features and the hosting is on a VPS which costs over $100 per month.

These costs became unsustainable and we now charge a nominal fee. It's only $49/year ($4 bucks per month), to list multiple CrashPads, manage occupancy as well the Listings are promoted on our Social Media outlets, Facebook, Google+ and Twitter. We do not believe this is a "ridiculous" amount of money. We believe this is fair and just and allows us to keep the website running.

We have someone that monitors the Support emails everyday so I do apologize if somehow this person's email slipped through the cracks, but this does not happen often, we have a 24 hour response policy. I personally assure you if someone emails us and asks to be de-listed we would do it. It would not reflect well on the website as a valuable resouces if all the listings were bunk.

What is in "our best interest" is to provide quality, accurate and valid listings. 

We take many steps to insure our listings are current, valid and active. We encourage Listers to de-activate their listings when they have 100% occupancy. Every message sent via the website has a note included reminding Listers to de-activate when they are full. It is also noted at the top of every Lister's Dashboard as can be seen here

We also have a daily script that runs and checks Listers account activity. If a Lister has not logged into the website in 3 months, we send them an email. If the user has not logged in, in 6 months we de-activate their listing and again email them. Please understand we can't just de-activate someone’s email too hastily if they have paid for the service. On that note we also cannot be held accountable for how 'on top' someone might be in checking their emails, having time to respond and running their CrashPad.

And as advertised we promote our users listings on our Social Media outlets which can be seen here
