He not only helped put Malibu Spa & Pool out of business for several years, but he has put two other companies out of business too, never mind the several jobs he has been fired from because of his addictions and abusive behavior.

I have felt sorry for him for years and all at my expense financially and emotionally. He is a mess in his business and personal life, because of his addictions and he does not think he has a problem. He is always under extreme stress and gets into his depressed moods where he stays in bed for days at a time and he still thinks he does not have a problem. He always blames it on the other person. I have tried to help him so many times and it never works. There comes a time in everyone's life when enough is enough and that is the point that I am at with him and have been for a few years. I am not in contact with him. We have gone days, months and years without talking and everytime I have believed in him and taken him back only to be taken advantage of once again. I want NO contact with him at all.

I hope that your posting on the internet will help other people from being taken advantage of because it is not right.

So with that said, I won't keep crying to you about the last 20 years. I hope he does not cause you too many more problems. Generally, his pattern is that he gets in his addictive moods and then he will just go away.

There has been a false report filed against my company on your site from an ex-employee, anonymously, but we do know exactly who he is. Patrick Jacques Wachs. He is making false claims against me and my company, which has been in business since 1996 and has a very credible reputation with our clients and employees alike. We are members of the Better Business Borough (BBB) and hold the highest grade possible. You can check my license on their site, which you will find there are no complaints against DP Exclusive Design, Deluxe Remodeling and/or David Partiel. The person filing this complaint has been fired from the company for a poor performance standard due to drug abuse. We have had customers complain about him, as well as current employees whom he's made physical threats against. I have taken as much action possible to rid myself and our company of him. I have many documents proving him wrong, as well as receipts showing that I owe him absolutely nothing. He, in fact, has cost me money by not completing jobs, not paying his crew, unnecessary damages on jobsites and slandering the company to clients. Technically, he owes me money. In fact, I have the certificate of title (pink slip) for his car that he, himself had given me because he owed me money. Why would an employee give up their pink slip to their employer if he didn't owe money? If need be, I can provide numerous customers who have worked with him and my company, and they will reiterate exactly what I've stated and DP Exclusive Design's reputation. As well as copies of documents supporting my rebuttal.

Patick Wachs has a reputation with many workers in the industry as a liar. He has failed to pay many workers, who are afraid to make complaints and to pursue owed funds, because he knows where they live and has threatened them with bodily harm. He's come into the office and has scared office employees with erratic behavior which many assumed was because he was intoxicated and/or hi. When I did fire him, I then found out about all the previous companies he'd worked for and was fired for the same reasons.

I do not take this accusation lightly, as I am an just and hard-working man. My company's reputation is vital, and legal actions were in place even before this complaint was filed on your site. I strongly believe that in this business, reputation is everything. Clients must fully trust a company before allowing them in their homes. Such slanderous complaints have the ability to break a company. This is a family owned business which is handled with much care and respect. We have gone beyond the responsibilities of an employer and have treated him as family. On many occasions my brother and I have given him money for food, because he's cried to us that he doesn't have money to eat. Not to mention gas money, emergency rent and many other miscellaneous assistance. He's promised to return said funds, and of course, never has. Still, we've given him the benefit of the doubt and remained professional and continued giving him work.

Man Sentenced in Quake Repair Fraud Case

A Simi Valley man who posed as a licensed contractor after the 1994 Northridge earthquake was sentenced to 695 days in County Jail, the Los Angeles city attorney's office said.

Patrick Jacques Wachs, 43, was sentenced by Van Nuys Municipal Judge Lloyd Nash, who found Wachs in violation of his probation for failing to pay restitution to the homeowners, prosecutors said.

Deputy City Atty. Don Cocek said Wachs posed as the owner of a licensed pool and spa company, then made shoddy earthquake repairs to the swimming pools of two San Fernando Valley residents.
