If you apply for a Fifth Third credit card, and are denied for any reason, you may still qualify for the optimum card. It is disclosed on the application. If you receive the card, but do not wish to keep it, like any other account, call and cancel. This is not rocket science.

#2 Consumer Suggestion
Credit Card Rip off

If I was you, I would call 5/3 and ask for New Accounts to see if a application was called in or signed by you. I belive the card in question is from HSBC . That was used incase that if you had applied for a regular 5/3 charge card and for whatever reason did not qualified then you was sent the card that you have..I would ask for a copy of the application..Maybe a teller put it thru..Banks gets bonuses for products that they sell..
