You Agreed to the Terms

AUTHOR: coast - (United States)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 30, 2019

You were not ripped off because the terms you agreed to state:

POINT FORFEITURE

If the Account is closed for any reason, enrollment in the Program will be terminated and any accumulated points will be forfeited.

There is so much wrong with your attitude I don't even know where to begin.

The "points" are not your points, they are still owned by the issuing bank and subject to the rules of the account, which will always include your account needs to be in good standing. With your account being 2 payments behind, you are NOT in good standing.

So not only do they have the right to take away the points when they close the account, you gave them this right when you opened the account by agreeing to their terms.

Now, that not withstanding let's face it the only RipOff is done by you. You are not abiding by the terms which was to make a payment on the scheduled date. In fact you failed to make TWO payments. So of course they are going to cancel your card, of course they are going to take away your points, of course you are going to go to collections....just like any other credit card would do. Hopefully you take care of this before they take you to court.

Seriously?? This is Pretty Hilarious

if you miss 2 payments they will cancel your account, and steal your reward points...  Are you seriously coming to this site and claiming you were ripped off because you failed to make your payments on time?  Just who exactly is getting ripped off here?

Perhaps the credit card company would like to chime in on ROR on how they let you (using your full name) use a credit card and then you decided - yeah, I won't be making payments.  It would seem the credit card company has a much stronger case of getting ripped off by you, then you do by coming here and whining about your rewards.

You neither have the right to a credit card nor do you have the right to the rewards accrued unless you comply with the terms of keeping your credit card.  Failing to make payments on time jeopardizes your points and your ability to keep your credit card.  You risked your rewards by failing to make payments and now based on what you wrote, your rewards are gone.

they offer you a payment plan where you have make a big payments, and if u miss a payment they will put your account in collections!!  I have no idea what big payments mean, because big is a subjective term that has no meaning without context.  However, if it means you were unable to afford the payment plan that was offered, then you should never have possessed a credit card in the first place.

The responsible use of a credit card (using the card and paying off the balance each month in full) can help and even benefit a consumer.  Missing payments, making large interest payments, and getting sent to collections does not benefit anyone.

You ripped yourself off.  If you're going to have a credit card with rewards attached, then you need to make payments 100% on time each month and in full.  Otherwise, don't get a credit card.
