I want to report a problem in our stay with a employee of the Hotel, Actualy I think he is a employee, because he had no identification on him (see the photo attached)

We stayed at the hotel from 7/21/2019 to 7/25/2019, me my wife and my 10 y.o daughter, our reservation number was 6VVRK, we payed more 50 dollars per day to upgrade to a suite in our arrive.

In the second day we was in the hotel, 7/23/2019 I was at a bar of the hotel that stay outside, in fremont street, Stage bar,  was on july 22, 11:10pm. I was alone, than my wife and daughter arrived, they sit at the chairs with me to see the movement in the street, this employee arrived and said something I didnt understand, Im not american, Im from Brazil, he said to fast and the music was loud, he said and laft.

As I didnt understand I didnt do nothing, than a few minutes later he came back and shouted to me and my family that we cant stay there because my daughter dont have 21 y.o, he was rude and stupid, unpolite in front of everybody, he said that he will ask to a security to remove us from there, when I said I was a guest of the hotel, he said "So what, you think this is such a big sh*t?"

He has no identification on him, I dont know if he actualy works in the hotel or not, I asked his name and he refused to give me, I said I will complain about him to the hotel and he said he doesnt give a sh*t.

My wife was so upset that we had to leave the hotel and go to another (encore) in the last night.

I have several friends that have trip blogs at the social networks, Ill send them and to others this report, please say that you will do something about it, Im not doing this to recive nothing for free, actualy Ill not come back to this hotel even for free, I just want this guy not to ofend anyone else.

Martha Sanchez from de Casino contacted me offering a free night or two, thats not what I want, I want to know if something was done to the rude stupid person who did it all to me and my family.

I totally understand you

AUTHOR: Robert - (United States)

POSTED: Thursday, October 17, 2019

No I totally understand you..so just to finish up with a few things.

We were not at a casino or at a place where she didnt belong, we were at the street, if you know the bar you know it stays in the street.
- No you were at a place you didn't belong and that is why you were told to leave.

I understand that the law must be fulfilled, thats why, as soon as I understood what he said I asked her and my wife to go out with me from there
- No..he came back and said you had to leave because your daughter was under 21 and your first reaction was to tell him you were a guest in a suite. You didn't leave until after he threatned to call security.

There are a lot of things for children, magician shows, animal shows, a lot of stores inside the hotels, a lot of stores in the street, chocolate stores, coca cola museum and store, Cirque de Soleil
- I never said that their wasn't a lot for kids to do. There is a time and a place for kids, and I even mentioned one.  But everything you mentioned are things located on the Strip.  Hanging out on Freemont Street(Bar or Not) at 11PM at night is NOT a place for a 10 year old.   As that is really only for people as you say that go to Las Vegas to Drink and Gamble...and a lot of other stuff I am not going to mention here.

I hope you dont get me wrong but when we are spending a lot of money in our vacation we hope to be treated well.
- That statement is why I am sure you tried to play the "I'm in a suite and should be allowed to stay" card with the Bartender when he first asked you to leave.

By the way the true "VIP's" in Vegas are ones that don't spend an extra $50/night on a room..they are the ones that drop thousands of dollars a night in the Casino, and the Casino gives them a suite.

You are understanding wrong

POSTED: Wednesday, October 16, 2019

Listen Robert,

I dont want any beneffit doing this, cant u see, In Orlando everybody speak spanish or portuguese, One thing is you write a letter in english, other is you understand what a born english person say, when I say that he yalled I mean that he was rude, the way and the things he said.

I was outside waiting for my family and I sit at this chairs to wait, when they arrive she sit at my side, we not even thought about where we were, Im not saying I was right to be there, I understand that the law must be fulfilled, thats why, as soon as I understood what he said I asked her and my wife to go out with me from there, but not only me, but people who was arround were schocked by the way he talked to us.

When you say that las vegas is not a city for children I desagree, there were a lot of childs there and there is a lot of fun for children, We were not at a casino or at a place where she didnt belong, we were at the street, if you know the bar you know it stays in the street.

I dont know if the guy works there, when I complained about him to the hotel they said that avery employ hava identification on theyr Shirts, he refused to say his name thats why i took a picture of him, because honestly I didnt know if he was someone of the street or someone of the hotel staff, I only assumed that he belong to the hotel because he was inside the bar when I went to ask his name.

There are a lot of things for children, magician shows, animal shows, a lot of stores inside the hotels, a lot of stores in the street, chocolate stores, coca cola museum and store, Cirque de Soleil, Only who goes to vegas to drink and gamble thinks that is not a city for kids.

I hope you dont get me wrong but when we are spending a lot of money in our vacation we hope to be treated well.

You Are In The Wrong

AUTHOR: Jim - (United States)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 16, 2019

Tarik, if you have to depend on Google translator to provide you a good translation on anything, you're going to be disappointed.  I have used Google translator in the past for business and other purposes and the translations often make no sense.  I mean it's free - so I guess you get what you pay for.  Please don't come here and think you can communicate in another language simply because you can use Google translator.

Now, the city of Las Vegas as a whole (not just the hotels) are very strict on anyone under the age of 21 being in the bars, in the casinos, etc... the city's police are quite strict about it.  Even though the city likes to advertise that it is a city for families, the casinos and the bars are not.  Even if you are a guest of the hotel, it really does not matter.

The gentleman you photographed was probably part of the hotel staff, but that doesn't matter.  Employees of the hotel are supposed to notify security when someone who should not be in the bar area, and your family was in the bar.  Perhaps you would have preferred that the person you photographed notify security to throw you out of the bar?

No one is going to do anything regarding your complaint.  Why?  Because this person was providing you a warning - security was going to come and kick you out of the bar.  10 year-old children do not belong in a bar, or a casino, everyone knows that.  So why did the hotel offer to give you a free night or two?  Because it's a VERY cheap way to try and make a customer happy.  It's also a good way for a hotel to make more money off of you.  The longer you stay in a Vegas hotel, the more of a chance the hotel can make money from you.  Oh, and your wife's reaction was also wrong.  She got upset for no reason....

Complaining about it on social media is not going to do much of anything.  The hotels located off the Strip, where you stayed, are popular because you can not only go from one casino to the other, but the betting minimums in the casinos are much lower than in the larger hotels on the Strip.  People love coming to Las Vegas and if they can't afford the bigger hotels on the Strip, then they will go to places like the Golden Nugget.... and the hotels surrounding it.

Oh, and I am not with the hotel, and I am not a resident of Las Vegas.  I have been there a lot....mostly for business........

Can't play Dumb

AUTHOR: Robert - (United States)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 16, 2019

Sorry but someone who comes to the US more than two times a year is bound to have more than a passing knowlege of the English Language, and while you may need some help in the written language, it is very liklely your conversationsl skills are quite sufficent.

You are comparing Las Vegas, the city that is known as "Sin City" or the "City that never sleeps". That has an advertising campaign of "What happens in Vegas, Stay's in Vegas", with Orlando the home of several Theme Parks and focused on Family Entertainemnt? You really can't be passing them off as being the same thing.

Don't get me wrong there are things you can do as a Family in Las Vegas, and I've taken my family several time to Vegas. But on the list of things to do, taking a 10 year old to a Street Bar on Freemont Street at 11PM at night to see the movement on the Street is NOT one of them. There are things that happen there as an Adult I don't want to see..let alone subject my children to it.

Of course you haven't had anything like this happen in Orlando, because it's not the same enviroment, and you weren't sitting at a Street Bar with your kid.

He said something the first time, i didnt say that he was rude at the first time, as I didnt understand i didnt do nothing and the secound time he came yelling to me and my family in front of everybody.
- Correct...you claim you couldn't hear him because of the music so you ignored him. You didn't try to see what he was saying, you didn't try to understand..you just ignored him. So when you failed to do anything he had to come back with a little more force.  As I said I have no idea how "rude" he was, but there are always three sides to every story. Your side, their side, and somewhere in the middle the truth. But as a rule of thumb I generally find people very nice in Vegas.

You can't even play dumb if you know children can't be in bars. As I said I've been to Vegas and while I avoid the Downtown area because of the Enviroment. If this is the bar right on the street, I know that Bar and sorry but you can't claim that you didn't know that the "tables", that are litterally an arm's length from the bar, were not part of the "bar area". By the way, just how many other kids were at the bar while you were there?

By the way hope you enjoyed the Encore, that is a step up and hopefully you saw La Reve..as that IS something that would have been very appropriate to take your 10 year old to.

Just want no one else go throw this

AUTHOR: TARIK - (Brazil)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 15, 2019

Listen, I dont want to have any benefit by reporting this, I was offered to accept a night or two for free at the hotel but I dont want to, The man have no identification on him, how was I suppose to know if he works there or not?

I know that children cant stay in bars, but who knows that place know that the bar is in the laft and there are a lot of chairs with a balcon for people to sit, but its not attached to the bar, thats why I think there would be no problem for my daughter to stay there.

I dont care if this guy will be fired or not as long as he dont do this to anyone else.

I have more than one witness that was near me when it happened.

The fact that he yelled doesent matter, but the way he did it does, when I say yell at us I mean he was rude and unpolite, not only he talk loud, as I said before, Im not american, some expressions here are different than there and when we translate things at google translator sometimes it dont write exactaly as we want to say.

We go to USA more than twice a year, almost always to Orlando, and we never have any problem like this, in the oposite, all people there are very polite and kind, We thought that in Vegas will be the same!

You were in the wrong

AUTHOR: Robert - (United States)

POSTED: Monday, October 14, 2019

You are using as an excuse that you don't understand the language. But your writing style seems to indicate otherwise.

You say that you couldn't hear them the first time so you just ignored him, if that is the case then you can't turn around and complain that they were rude and yelled at you. As that apparently was the only way to get you to listen.

The fact that you pointed out you paid extra for a suite, and mentioned this to the bartender does seem to indicate you thought you deserved special treatment. Since there is always more than one side to the story, we can't say if the bartender was right or wrong in how he acted. But since you made it a point about you upgrading to a suite shows that you likely had an attitude when you were told to leave.

Ignorance of the law is not an excuse, and it is illegal for a minor (anyone under 21) to be in a bar area, and I would bet that there were plenty of signs around. The fact is that if they let her stay not only could the Bartender and Hotel get fined, the State could pull their license. So yes they take this very seriously. Which is also why even though you are looking to get this guy fired, since he was attempting to keep the hotel in compliance  they will likely not do a thing.
