dear ron, I recently attended your hypnosis class, in utica ny. i was under the impression, that i was to be put asleep through hypnosis. I was very disapointed, in the class. I want a refund, as it did not work.

Hypnosis for Weight Loss

To begin I can guarantee you that Hypnosis for weight loss DOES indeed work. As a practicing Hypno-consultant in Utica for over 25 years I have an EXCELLENT record with clients that have come to me for weight loss through Hypnosis.
Now, there are some very good reasons WHY it didn't work for you and I will list them here as well as what every hypnotist SHOULD do to be successful:
1) Your hypnotist was attempting to hypnotize more than one person at a time to help them with the same issue (weight Loss).
A) This usually won't work because each individual is different and each requires a plan specific to their needs. Each individual needs to be worked with independant of the others.
2) Your Hypnotist didn't relieve your fears or anxiety about hypnosis.
A) This is a biggy. Hypnotist need to alleviate your fears and/or anxieties about hypnosis or your conscious mind won't let you enter the relaxed state known as hypnosis.
3) You may have thought you were going to be put "to sleep" literally and when this didn't happen your conscious mind took over causing you to not to relax.
A) Hypnosis is defined as a heightened state of relaxation and suggestibility. You are NEVER actually put "to sleep" in the true sense of the term. We hypnotists use the word "sleep" as an agent to help you relax. In Hypnosis you are ALWAYS in control and CONSCIOUS, you can hear the hypnotists voice, the surrounding sounds, and the like. It is up to YOU, whether or not you will accept what the hypnotist is saying to help you into the relaxed state. Basically put, all hypnosis is self-hypnosis, we hypnotists are just there to help you achieve that state to where your subconscious mind can be accessed to help make the changes that will help you with what you came to achieve, in this case weight loss.
So, don't be too quick to judge this hypnotist as a fraud, as YOU, the person being hypnotized, may have rejected he suggestions causing you to not achieve what is was that you set out to do.
