Hopewell promotions inc.. I have also bought this so called jewelry from my local Wal-Mart and it is junk!!! I have tried to contact the company and NO response!!! Baltimore Maryland

I don't know who you are or what your are in relation to this fraudulant company but your logic is flawed. First, you assume the jewelry to be less than $3.00. The actual total is $20 + tax. The point you forgot was the jewelry is all the same - one item is faulty and they all are, thus, the actual loss is the amount of the total purchase. Second, cost and location aside, when you are promised one thing and are delivered another, it doesn't matter the price of the item or lesson you think we should learn. The true lesson is that you should receive what you are promised. The BBB, Attorney General, this site and more exist because of this very ideal. If the item is sold too cheaply, that lies with the seller and not with the buyer. If the item were touted as likely to tarnish/discolor and I buy it anyway, the fault lies with the buyer. Excusing a company that lies because YOU deem the cost of the item worthy of a "slap down", is a pitiful dismissal of what is right and legal.

And, I also purchased this item, buyng it at the Walmart jewelry counter. Within a week of wearing one of the chains in gold, I now have a silver chain. They are lovely chains to start with but they are NOT what I paid for. Period. I do not think any of the purchasers believed they were buying 18k gold - a ridiculous statement that was meant to insult, for shame - but the spiel was that these were exceptional necklaces that would NOT tarnish. And while Walmart is a low-end store, it is a large chain and the presence of this person in their store lends an air of respectability that is clearly undeserved. To question Walmart regarding allowing this company to participate in bilking its customers is a perfectly acceptable action.

Ok I completely understand the jewelry is fake.. I'm far from stupid.. my complaint is that we were lied to... everyone standing there was told that the jewelry would NOT tarnish break or turn your skin a different color and if any of this should happen you can return it and it would be replaced... I tried to call and contact the company and just like everyone else that has filed a complaint got NO RESPONSE!!!!

My understanding is that you are purchasing 7 pieces of jewelry for $20. That averages $2.86 for each piece of jewelry. Many peoe complain that it is "not real" or "junk". 

I find it didficult to sympathize with these complaints. Did these consumers expect high quality 18kt gold and splod sterling silver jewelry for the price if a candy bar or less than a cup of coffee?

i would expect a$2.86 piece of jewelry to be fair to low quality costume jewelry. I don't know if those filing complaints are just naive or haven't really considered the unlikelihood of receiving fine jewelry for less than $3/piece, but you won't get a fine T-bone steak or a lobster tail on the dollar menu at mcd's. 

i believe you got exactly what you paid for, and you might want to see how much it costs ro buy cheap costume jewelry at Claire's or off the shelf at target or Walmart... bet you won't find 7 pieces for $20. Maybe that will make you appreciate your bargain purchase from Hopewell.
