On the 27th of December 2018 I bought a lap top on HP website. order number H326951951. the order was supossed to arriver in 3-6 business day. on the 8th of January I called the company (12 days later) to ask about my order and talking to the manager he said I was going to recieve my order on the 18th of January ( 21 days after the purchase) I got really said and I asked him to cancel everything and give back my money.

After a long time on the phone and He giving my excuses and He said: now I see it is going to arrive in 2 days. I got really mad and said: Ok do not cancel anything I will wait because I do not have time for problems and that was the deal. I waited the 2 days and did not get it. on the 4th day after the call I gave up and when I checked my paypall account the company had returned my payment so I realized they had cancelled the order.

On the same day I went to walmart and bought a laptop for me using my credit on paypal once HP had returned and my credit eas available. 7 days after the call or 3 days after I purchased my new laptop I received I package on my door. almost a month after my initial purchase with HP. yesterday I received a letter saying my name is being sued or whatever by paypal and I logged in my paypal account.

On the 20th of February HP took the money from my paypal balance which was $0 and brought me to negative -$227. it is affecting my score. the company totally messed up with my life. I want my money back. it is a horrible company. I am really mad.

BS Story

AUTHOR: Robert - (United States)

POSTED: Sunday, April 14, 2019

Your entire RipOff is one of BS and being very selective in your "understanding".

I bought a lap top on HP website. order number H326951951. the order was supossed to arriver in 3-6 business day
- Incorrect...Strike 1

The 3-6 Business days refers to the shipping method, which refers to the additional time AFTER it is shipped that it will take to get to you. The order confirmation you posted shows it was not even going to be shipped until 1/18. So when you called in the beginning of January, it wasn't even scheduled to be shipped for another  couple of weeks.

By your narrative you actually received it before the 18th, but you claim you knew they had refunded the money. So what did you do when you got the laptop? Did you contact them to see why? Or did you figure you were just going to keep it?

On the 20th of February HP took the money from my paypal balance
-Strike 2

Then we get to your transaction list, which is highly filtered but still doesn't match with your "RipOff". The only thing it shows is that PayPal credited and then reversed that credit a month later. The only thing from HP is the initial charge. Here is what really happened...YOU called Paypal reporting a dispute, they gave you a "temporary" credit while they investigated, then when HP responded to Paypal that they delivered the laptop Paypal reversed the credit...Yep..Hit the nail on the head on this one.

which was $0 and brought me to negative -$227
- Strike 3
Oh as for that reversal causing you to be overdrawn...Strike 3. By your narrative you were at a zero balance causing your account to go negative $227 and you didn't know that until now.  Yet if that is the case how exactly do you explain the $40 transfer a few days later along with the fact that you would have still had about $15 between the HP and Walmart purchases if your original balance was $0? At the very least you would be negative since February by about $25 based on what you posted...and that would have been if everything was as you claim you "thought" it was.

Yea I bet the full story here is a lot more interesting.

Good Luck in your suit, but if you go to Court with this defense don't expect to prevail.

Right on your receipt it says that the laptop would be delivered on 1/18, and I am sure the website showed that when you placed the order.  The "3-6 business days" is the shipping speed once it leaves HP, but computers are configured to order, so it takes about another week or two.  y your own account, the laptop was delivered on 1/15 (7 days after your call on 1/8).  So they delivered it 3 days earlier than they said they would.

I have no idea why they refunded your order, but it was obviously a mistake, given that the laptop was already shipped by the time you called to cancel the call.  You could have just shipped the computer back to them and had gotten a refund.  You apparently decided to keep the laptop, and tried to scam the money from Paypal instead, which is probably why they are reporting it on your credit history now.
