I bought a hot tub from this company and it was delivered damaged. It took a year and a half to get them to replace it.

When I finally got the new tub it only had a 2horsepower motor in it, the original had a 4 horsepower. The parts they used looked like the were from an old tub.

The tub leaks like a sieve right next to the 220v connection and the electronic controls. The "new" tub is UNSAFE to use.

When I called the company their U.S. rep said that was tough luck. They are going to find out about tough luck when the Connecticut State Attorneys office contacts them. They have already agreed to investigate.

It is apparent that it is imposible to deal with Mr. Leblanc on a professional level so we have instructed our lawyers to take legal action against Mr. Leblanc for communicating false and potentially liable information about our company and our employees. Mr. Leblanc's recent claims are false and without merit.

Since my email address has changed I don't know how else to update this report. Hydropool did eventually respond but only after I had the Connecticut Attorney Generals office contact them. They did replace the pump and did fix the leak, however the tub they replaced it with does not work the same as what I originally purchased. The original had a dimmer on the light which this one does not. The tub they replaced it with was on the local showroom floor with more features and almost $1000.00 less than what they charged me. Granted I did make them replace the pump but they were willing to give me a different tub than what I originally paid for with no offer to discount it to what they were selling it to everyone else for. They claim in their rebuttal that I pretended I didn't know who the sales rep was. I told her I knew exactly who she was and had no intention of removing my report. She asked why and I told her because they did not replace the tub with what I originally ordered and therefore my statement stands. I see they filed their rebuttal on 10/5/05 probably at the advice of the lawyer that just sent me a threatening letter telling me I have 48 hours to remove my report. The letter states that my report is full of inaccurate statement because my complaints were dealt with expeditiously and in a professional manner. Just because they finally responded after the Attorney General wrote to them does not make my statements inaccurate. If anything it confirms them. When you say that you are going to replace something that was purchased brand new, to me you replace it with an identical product. Apparently to Hydropool it means sending something that looks the same but has a motor in it half the size of what was originally purchased. It means sending something that leaks like a sieve right next to a 220v electrical connection. It means you remove features that the original had. They never even called me to say it was going to be different. When they delivered the replacement they said the ONLY thing that was different was the name and nothing else. Well a Motor half the size is a big difference for starters. If the lawyer who contacted me had done his homework he would have seen that I can't remove my report from this website even if I wanted to.

Customer Completely Satisfied with Replaced Tub

Admittedly there was an inconsistency with the customer's delivered hot tub and the specifications on the hot tub as from the time it was re-ordered to the time it was delivered there has been a marketing and model change in the series line up. It was confusing but we openly admited to it and replaced the pump as per specification.

Our sales representative in the area was present at or shortly after the exchange of the hot tub and the customer was very satisfied with the replacement and promised to remove the report form the web site.

A few months later it was brought to our attention that the report was still present on the web-site. Our sales representative contacted the customer and immediately the customer pretended not to even know her, eventhough she had met the customer at his home, then the customer procedded to be rude to her and refused to comply with his original agreement to remove the report. There was no specific reason as to why and to the best of our knowledge the hot tub is operating in excellent working order.

Again, Hydropool Industries admitted to a mistake due to a series change with a specific model, made good on the change and personally visited the customers home to ensure all was in order. That is the type of customer service we are recognized for world wide!
