In reflecting upon my recent experience with inventRight, LLC, I feel compelled to relay my experience to caution others before using them to attempt to license their product(s).

The cost is quite expensive (over $4,000.00). But, don't be fooled into thinking that the more you pay, the higher the degree of success you will achieve. What they fail to relay to potential clients is the cold, harsh reality relative to your low percentage of success contrasted with the high degree of financial outlay. As with any larger investment of time and money, the risks should be divulged in order for clients to assess their appetite for potential loss of their money in the very real event that their product(s) are not licensed. Speaking for myself, I am currently, literally, facing the loss of my home due to the lack of results and money lost in inventRight. Anticipation is set high and expectations are fueled upon sign up. I was left with little doubt at the prospect of my success.

There were very troublesome and problematic issues involved in my product development. The graphics department repeatedly got the design wrong which stretched out over an unreasonable amount of time. For the money spent, their ability to create a virtual prototype left much to be desired. I was left totally frustrated with the inability of their department to capture my very simple design. At last, with some intervention by others, it was completed.

Finally, the sell sheet design and written content was approved. However, after sending it out to several companies, I realized they had my phone number wrong on the sell sheet. It was not even close to my actual phone number. I have no idea how much damage was done due to the various companies' inability to make contact with me. If they tried that number and reached an unknown party, just imagine the credibility issue that presented. Who would proceed to pursue the licensing of a product in that event. No one.

Bottom line, I was not contacted by any of the over 20 companies I reached out to despite my best efforts in following the guidelines provided by inventRight. I feel disillusioned, shortchanged and cheated by the handling of my invention efforts. I can’t recoup that money I lost and now am facing the forced sale of my home.

In looking back, if the low prospects of success had been revealed to me despite the use of a company specializing in assisting inventors to license their products, I would not have chosen to risk my hard-earned money in such a venture. Unless potential inventors have a lot of money to throw away, I would advise people to steer clear of inventRight and pursue the invention process online through other resources that are free or very low cost and openly available to the public.

I demand a refund from inventRight, LLC due to the initial lack of disclosure regarding the low chances of licensing a product through them, their shoddy graphics department workmanship and sabatoging my efforts through wrongly publishing a false phone number for me on my sell sheet that very well could have cost me the licensing of my product. They don't deserve my money and I demand it be returned ASAP.

AUTHOR: Willie - (United States)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 27, 2022

I'm General Public that read your report on inventright. I've been thinking about taking their course myself, yes they are very expensive. What I can't believe is you knew you were behind on your mortgage on your house and you took a Gamble with an invention to put yourself on the street.

It's up to you to check the sell sheet, you act like you didn't have enough sense to see your own phone number wasn't right and you blame them. That's what's wrong with United States now people like you, that make their own mistakes and can't own up to it sorry your butt sore someone needed to tell you this

Rebuttal to inventRight, LLC

AUTHOR: Bette - (United States)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 01, 2019

First of all, I have NEVER been so frustrated with a pricey service such as inventRight's in my life!!! Their graphics department seemed INCAPABLE of understanding my invention and repeatedly illustrated it incorrectly despite my instructions.

The coach finally had to intervene on my behalf which included lengthy delays due to excuses such as vacations, etc., by the graphics department. I seriously questioned the competency of inventRight as they were unable to accurately depict the simplest of designs.

Then, it was discovered after that infuriating experience during which I wanted a refund that, despite conveying all of my contact information to the graphics department accurately, they then put the wrong telephone number on the sell sheet!!!

I have NO idea where they got the number from that was printed. It was not remotely close to mine. After sending out the sell sheet to several companies prior to discovering the wrong number, there is a good possibility that those companies attempted to call me but my credibility would have been destroyed when reaching a totally unrelated party.

Who would want to do business with someone who may have appeared to be a fly-by-night or unsituated or unstable in their professional location?

Insofar as getting no positive response, I researched thoroughly the companies in the U.S. that manufactured similar products to mine. I contacted each one of them via phone and followed up numerous times after being directed to the proper person. I followed their instructions implicitly insofar as contacting the correct person/department.

I kept a whiteboard with each company listed and a running record of my weekly/monthly outreach to them. They either emailed or called indicating their dis-interest or simply failed to respond at all, never returning my calls.

So, don't inventRight dare accuse me of not aggressively pursuing the licensing of my product. Claiming that licensing a product will be achieved utilizing inventRight's guidance is simply not realistic. I have seen other testimonies online after my own experience reflecting the reality of not achieving licensing utilizing inventRight's services and their profound disappointment.

My experience with inventRight was quite disillusioning. For all of their self-promotion, their delivery was very disappointing and unprofessional for the money charged. It appeared that their primary goal was just to sign people up.

Caution should always be undertaken when laying down large amounts of money for services such as inventRight's. Initial investigation vis a vis targeted questioning and research should be undertaken prior to risking one's hard-earned money that may be lost with no tangible results.

#2 REBUTTAL Owner of company

Bette: Your review is surprising considering how much we helped you.

AUTHOR: Andrew - (United States)

POSTED: Monday, September 30, 2019

Bette: Your review is surprising considering how much we helped you. Then again, four months after your 6-month membership ended, you demanded your money back and threatened to post about our company negatively online if what you paid was not refunded.

During your membership, you did not mention wanting your money back, nor did you share any of the complaints outlined here. Because you were frustrated with the delivery time of your virtual prototype, we refunded the $99 you spent on that and provided you with a beautiful virtual prototype as well as a sell sheet you could send to companies.

You told us that your coach was very encouraging. You seemed to have turned this into a negative stating that he misled you since you didn’t license the product. When you look at the marketing copy on our website and our YouTube show, you will not find any “get rich quick” language. In fact, if making money quickly is your goal, we recommend against licensing. Inventing and bringing products to market requires commitment and determination. Often, it takes years for a student to land a deal.

In reviewing our notes, your coach had 21 calls with you over 6 months and 156 support emails were sent as we helped you with your product.

You stated that you submitted to 20 companies and not a single one got back to you. If you were using the approach we teach, that’s simply not possible. We teach our students how to get a ‘no’ from as many companies as possible and to move forward with the companies that are interested.

If you didn’t get a single ‘no’ from even one company, it’s because you didn’t put in the work/gave up too soon. I see you submitted through a lot of company online portals. That’s fine, but you need to use LinkedIn and the phone as well. If you aren’t getting at least some ‘no’s’ you are not really reaching out to companies.

You had a huge number of revisions with our Design Studio for your sell sheet and we fully accommodated all of them resulting in a beautiful sell sheet. During your many revisions, it was your job to review your sell sheet and let us know any corrections. You had many opportunities to let us know the phone number listed was incorrect. About 95% of the time, companies will email you when they show interest, not call.

We are wary of overselling licensing as a business model. It’s all too easy to take advantage of inventors. The reality is: Most products won’t get licensed. Of those that do, some never make it to market. And when products do make it to market, it’s quite often a year before you start to see substantial royalties on a deal.

Licensing is FAR from a get-rich-quick scheme. It’s a very legit way to make money over time, but not overnight.

We also had our bookkeeper look over the total money you’ve spent with us. You spent $3,194 with us, not over $4,000 as you have stated. You also had a virtual prototype order done for $99 that was refunded because you were upset with the delivery time. — Cofounders

inventRight - Out for the Money, Turn Backs on Inventors

AUTHOR: Bette - (United States)

POSTED: Friday, June 21, 2019

No response whatsoever has been received from inventRight to my report despite emailing them the link. They obviously have no desire to communicate with their clients when they have concerns and complaints. They simply turn their back on them. How convenient.

Just another warning to not get involved with them. The quality of their services does not match the exorbitant cost. There are many community inventor organizations around the country that you can join for very little that meet on a regular basis, feature prominent speakers and offer inventor assistance with their projects. inventRight is most assuredly a rip-off.
