Kathy Hicks has a staff of people that leave message that she can help you with your foreclosure...  Nothing could be farther from the truth.  She makes promises she can t keep and refers you out...  I guess for starters, there is nothing wrong with her being a referral service if that's the business she happens to be in, especially if she's referring them to someone who is going to buy your home.  Your are under no obligation to deal with them, if you get referred off to someone else.

However, you have a real problem here:

The problem you have is a lender wanting to foreclose on your home, and there's little you can do to stop them.  That's why you called this person in the first place.  If you get to a point where your home is going to be foreclosed on, and you need help you defer someone of your debt, there's a good chance you're in no position to keep the home, whether in the short-term, or long-term.  If you could not afford the home prior to a renegotiation, I can guarantee you that you won't be able to afford it afterward.  Now, if this person she referred to is going to buy the home, then the question becomes:

1.  Do you take something now, and get some value from the home

2.  Do you try to fight it, and end up foreclosed on - receiving nothing for it, and potentially a huge tax bill if the lender auctions your home for a value less than your mortgage?

It seems a bit premature for you to file a complaint until (a) you get foreclosed on, which would not be this person's fault, or (b) you get something for your home, which is better than (a).
