In late April of 2011, I got arrested for a first-time DUI offense. Admittedly, it was a foolish misjudgment on my part that should not have happened in the first place. Regardless, I decided to exercise my right to legal counsel upon my release from the Clark County Detention Center in an attempt to "soften the blow", as it were, of my pending criminal charge. During the initial consultation, my mother and I met with Brooks Compton, Frizzell's case manager. I gave him the factual details surround the arrest, then Mr. Compton asked me if it was my first offense, to which I replied in the affirmative. Then, I was asked if I was also on drugs at the time of my processing, and I truthfully told him that I wasn't. Then, I was told by Brooks that because of the lesser magnitude of my offense, I would (not "might") have my charge reduced to reckless driving, and that I wouldn't lose my driver's license upon the time of my DMV hearing. These people seemed absolutely wonderful at the time, so we happily paid them for their services.

In early-to-mid August of the same year, the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles mailed me a letter explaining that the arresting officer did not show up to the hearing. As a result, they had to let me keep my driver's license, which I thrilled about at the time. However, on the criminal court hearing in January of 2012, it was finally made clear of what kind of person I hired for legal representation. Kenneth Frizzell arrived at the Regional Justice Center over three hours after me and my mother were told to be there. Then, he takes us outside of the court room to tell us that he was not able to get the charge to reduced to reckless driving. One would think that Mr. Frizzell or someone else from his office would have called me beforehand to let me know something this important. His reasoning for not doing what I paid him to do (and what his case manager outright promised) was because the BAC I blew at the time of my arrest was "too high". That's interesting, because I told Brooks Compton exactly what my BAC level was (and even handed him the citation I got at the CCDC proving it). After being blindsided with this news, he tells us that a new law came into effect stating that if a person goes to trial and loses, they are automatically given a six-month jail sentence. Being faced with this horrible revelation, I signed the plead agreement of "No Contest" in a defeated fervor and ended up with the maximum penalty under NV law (the very thing I paid this scam artist over $1,000 to have not happen).

Roughly a few months after my criminal hearing, I called about three or four other law offices and asked them any such "new law" Frizzell mentioned had come into effect, and they all told me that was not true by any stretch. In summation, Ken lied in order to divert from the fact he simply did not do his job. What infuriates me the most is that Mr. Frizzell fed me some cheesy line to the effect of, "Hey, buddy. Look at it like this: At least you get to walk out of here today, eat a nice home-cooked meal, sleep in your own bed and in your own clothes, instead of next door for 6 months". Dealing with this crook was without a doubt the most horrific experience of my entire life. If anyone who reads this report believes I am just some delinquent who got busted by the cops and wants to blame someone else for his own actions, do searches on "Kenneth G. Frizzell III" and "The Ticket Fixer" to see all the other negative reviews about businesses. Also, it is worth mentioning that a handful of the feedback that is actually positive on Yelp and Google Reviews were written by people who just so happened to go to school with Ken's children. Apparently, he thought that no one would find it suspicious nor do any digging (but I did). Should anyone seeing this share an experience similar to mine, I urge them to file a complaint to the State Bar of Nevada. From what I hear, he has already has numerous complaints against him (not including the one that I filed back in February).
