It took me almost 3 months to receive these sunglasses I ordered. I spent almost $200 & they are made VERY cheaply. When I asked for a refund, Merrilee would only give me store credit, & was rude & unprofessional about it. It was a complete waste of my time & money.

The Real Story ?

AUTHOR: DominoD89 - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, December 28, 2012

Here's how these 2 VERY unprofessional women handled this situation:

After I told her how unhappy I was with my sunglasses, they would ONLY give me store credit. The reason why they give store credit ??? Because I'm sure MANY people try & return these horribly made pieces of CRAP !! This is how they make their money ! By screwing people over !!! I had no choice but to try & sell them on ebay....I ended up successfully selling the so called "free" pair they gave me for my long wait. But I NEVER got to sell the ones I paid $200 for !!! So after the "free" pair sold, Merrillee contacted me, saying that if I return BOTH pairs she would give me a refund....but she knew I already sold the "free" pair on ebay.....so that would do me absolutely no good....would it Merrillee?? She did this on PURPOSE ! How f'd up is that ?! I then told her, why should I HAVE to return the so called "free" pair which was a "gift"....to get my refund of what I paid for !?!? Makes no sense, laides !!!! I gotta hand it to you though - you are good scam artists.

......If your sunglasses are so "sought after" & incredible, why not give a REFUND & sell them to someone else who wants them ????? EXACTLY. CAUSE NO ONE WANTS THEM !!!

TRASH.

#2 REBUTTAL Owner of company

She didn't accept refund

I am very upset by how twisted this story became. The customer emailed us many times saying it was ok to be late. We were very busy so we sent her a smaller heart cherub frame which sells for $100 as an apology for lateness. She had said how much she liked our work so when she decided she didn't want the frame we said that we would give her credit towards something else.

She sold the gifted frame for $80 on Ebay and was selling the other for $200.  We told her we would give the full amount of $193 minus shipping when she returned the black cat ears and the heart frame. She wanted to keep the heart frame and only return the cat ears. We said that was fine but she would have to pay the $100 for them.
She sold both pairs on Ebay for $280 in total.  By the way, those cat ears were one of maybe 6 pairs made by us. They have caused a stir in the eyeglass industry and have been copied by manufactured brands. This young lady would be happier buying the manufactured in China street copy.  Ours appear in Lady Gaga's telephone video, in Russian Vogue, are owned and worn by Oriett Dominech. They also appear in an artist's painting!

I would love to send photos of celebrities, models and people wearing these frames. My sister and I work
hard to hand make & create the original, never the copy. Our frames were in 2 museum shows this year.
Thank you for reading our side of the event. We would be happy to discuss this further.
