Today a taxi driver named Mohamed Issa, who Goes By Mohammed Aliissa or Mohamed Saleh Issa, on a major taxi ride platform has done a cancelation fee scam, where he intentionally chose to take forever to pick up a ride or answer calls, no message responses, and was 3 minutes for a while but now over 11 miles away with no answer only to cancel on his end after a while. He is/was Operating with a red toyota camry with ny license plate T763509C, whose approximate Age is 24. He sure had the time to renew his license plate on 02/04/2023 around 1:25 Pm but could not pick up a taxi rider who could of tipped more than $5?

This is known as a cancelation fee scam, where users after maybe certain period of time are charged a cancelation fee for canceling rides in order a basic fee of around $5 to $10 and not pick you up earning them a cancelation fee for doing nothing. Financially makes sense at the cost of the reputation of both drivers like Mohamed Issa or Mohamed Saleh Issa and companies they represent by working with them and doing behavior that now affects them as more and more riders may steer away from this and may increasingly get these jobs to be automated away more sooner to improve customer satisfaction from this deceptive flaw that drivers turn into a form of deception for a quick buck.

To handle this scam, do not cancel the ride, you will be charged this fee. Snapshot the information, report it to the rideshare apps you use, make them aware of this cancelation fee scam driver and act, and tell the driver you are aware that he is doing a cancelation fee scam and to cancel on his end or you will report him. Of course you should report them anyways to prevent this from happening to others.

Drivers like this should be flagged/reported for not picking up and answering for this ride. These rideshare platforms should consider creating some sort of algorithm or line of code that both logs and questions drivers about why they have not chosen to proceed to move to pickup the customer even in a certain amount of time including checking traffic or why they are not moving etc. It is sad that this cancelation fee scam is still occurring and it is scaring riders away from the platform and likely other drivers as lower ridership looks even less feasible. On top of that this selfish fraudulent behavior is affecting real lives, real careers and jobs, and may even cause people to loose their jobs all because a driver chose to not pick them up only to scam them first.
