Moneypak Greendot Greendot Their site won't allow me to register sign up after I gave my social security number

I tried to sign up register or moneypak.com and same with greendot.com, both sites requested and required my social security number which I was reluctant to give but I typed in my SSN.  After I filled out everything, then I had to create a password which I did and then their site sent a link that reads' sorry passwords don't match after I confirmed passwords 4 times to no avail.  Wth??

Then my boyfriend told me to research reviews about moneypak and greendot, sure enough I just read over tons of several complaints and reviews about moneypak, wow I was shocked and very dissappointed with moneypak.  Maybe their site is not working properly may be a blessing in disguise.  I'll just go to any CVS or 7-11 and deposit cash into my Varo debit card which is another option I have. 

After I read over hundreds of negative reviews, I will not use moneypak.  Just to mention real quick here, last week I went to my local CVS store they are authorized for greendot moneypak purchases, I actually picked out a moneypak card for 25 dollars but when I got to the register, the cashier was clueless about how to ring up the moneypak card I initially tried to buy. 

Then the cashier called the manager over but somehow the cash register didn't have the purchase link button to allow customers to buy moneypak cards.  It was pretty weird.  Even the manager couldn't figure out what was happening.  he's never even heard of moneypak.  We were all just clueless.  then the manager told me that I can just deposit cash into my prepaid debit card, but I didn't have any cash on me.

I was going to buy the moneypak card with my main debit card with chase bank.  Now that I think back and after I read reviews about moneypak.com and greendot.com, I'm glad the transaction at cvs didn't go through anyway.    So many people lost tons of money thru moneypak.  Please don't use moneypak, look for other alternatives!
