Just look at my many posts and replies here. NCS is a top worst collection agency around. They will seem nice sometimes on here. Just give them a call once. Don't give out names or info. Just generalize your story. You will see that they are unprofessional and will do anything (even refuse to validate) to make you pay. I guess they think they are untouchable. I prooved them wrong. This company is run by young 18-22 year olds on the front line (phone and answering mail from consumers). I know for a fact that they will badger, lie, threaten and do whatever they can to make people scared and want to pay to make them go away. Don't do it. Be strong.
