NORTON INTERNET SECURITY Technical support is non-existent-If you have a vista operating system forget Norton Norton.com INTERNET
*Consumer Suggestion: In Reply To Pat About Norton Security System
Bought Norton security system after my trial ran out on my new computer, which has Vista operating system in it. Computer cannot get any updates from Norton! It just keeps saying that it can't connect to Norton's update system.
Try HELP, you say? Forget it. Get ready to spend countless hours of your time trying to get to Norton. When you do: The downloads that they give you don't work.
Oh yea! If you call their Tech support at 1-800-441-7234, your in for even more hours of fun.
Just forget it and buy another security system if you have a Vista operating system in your computer

In Reply To Pat About Norton Security System

Hi Pat..Read your complaint about Norton Security..Are you using the 2009 version of Norton?..I too have a Vista and use the Norton..I have never had any problems with Norton..Infact Norton has saved my a$$ from allowing unwanted intruders in, including "bugs"..You do know you have to be connected to the internet to do "updates on Norton" right?..In the lower right of your "taskbar" you should see the Norton icon..If it is yellow with a green check mark, you are fine..If not, you have a problem..If you are still having problems, I would uninstall the program and reinstall it..If you have any older versions of Norton installed, uninstall those, then install the latest version.."Hope this was helpful and good luck!".. :o) P.S. Also make sure you aren't running any other spyware/anti-virus programs like McAfee or have Windows Firewall activated..Firewalls can block connections..Norton prefers to work alone without any other "firewalls/spyware/anti-virus, etc. programs"..
