Jake,
How we recommend hair transplant physicians is clearly documented at http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/Consult-a-Physician/our-hair-restoration-physicians.asp.
The fact that physicians who meet our high standards pay a sponsorship fee to support our educational resources is no secret and is of no consequence. Would you begrudge Harvard University for admitting only the brightest students and then requiring them to pay the tuition? Not everyone who has the ability to pay the tuition is accepted and not everyone who would be accepted applies to Harvard University. The Hair Transplant Network works the same way with how we recommend surgeons.
Surgeons recommended on the Hair Transplant Network must consistently privide patients with high quality and natural looking results. There are risks associated with any surgery and thus, no doctor bats a thousand. But physicians recommended on the Hair Transplant Network are required to stand behind their patients or they will be removed.
If you have a legitimate complaint against one or more of our physicians and we find we agree with you, we'll be happy to investigating the matter and consider removing the physician from our community. We take patient feedback very seriously and is part of how we continue to evaluate surgeons.
If your a patient who isn't satisfied with your result, we encourage you to contact your physician directly. You are also welcome to contact me directly by using the "contact us" form at www.hairtransplantnetwork.com and I'll be happy to help and direct you in any way i can.
Best wishes,
Bill (Falceros) - Associate Publisher of the Hair Transplant Network, the Hair Loss Learning Center, and the Hair Loss Q&A Blog
