We recently used a moving company to relocte our household goods. The moving company transported 2 vehicles and a riding lawn mower which did not belong to us within the same trailer as all of our household goods. The vehicles and the lawn mower leaked gasoline during transportation fumigating all of our household goods with gas odors. The company is not cooperating. We have contacted the Better Business Bureau, Consumer Protection Agency, etc. We do not want anyone else to experience what we have undergone. Please help to expose this company! They boast of being the "Official Movers of the NFL".

This is how you handle claims

AUTHOR: Starr - (U.S.A.)

I use to work for a Paul Arpin Van Lines agent, I handled claims such as yours on a daily basis. First of all It is a rule that all oil and gas are drained from any vehicles. If the company that transported your good failed to insure that the other occupants of the truck drained the liquids then its there fault and are intilled to compensation.

Also was your HHG put into storage? If so all storage facilities right up Riders that tell what if any damage was done intransite to the storage facility. If this was done then you can request a copy from the company.

All in all it's usually not hard to recieve compensation but I have known it to take over a year and sometimes longer.
