First this started off as a news story. I was stupid for falling for it. But I do not believe that that gives them the right to rip people off.I was given a code for a free 100 bids . When you put in your info for a payment when you win. Then you get a message thanking you for a 149.75 payment. That I never authorized. They say that it was in the terms. Anyone that takes advantage of someone trying to get a deal to save money. And then rip off the customer and blame us for not seeing it. It's the same with many people out there. I was I had seen them first. I just think that people that do this should be held accountable.

The problem is...

AUTHOR: Ronny g - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, November 10, 2010

...and too many websites and other businesses do this...is they do their best to distract the potential members from these charges..and do so with intent.

If you look at the shot Edgeman posted..it shows a registration form on the right side and it is intentionally placed as a seperate column to distract from any mention of the membership fee. It say's in large text on top of the intentionally seperated column in all caps "WHERE DO WE SEND YOUR WINNING AUCTIONS"...which deceptively implies a few things...one, that the purpose of filling out the information in that column is for shipping purposes only.. two..that you are actually going to win anything, and three..that this is a legitimate auction.

I agree 100% that people should read terms and conditions before signing up for anything...but..if the person is intentionally deceived into believing they are not being charged, they may not think it is necessary to read anything. They want to check out the site first.

Now where I have a problem, is why anyone would submit credit card/debit card or bank account information online..and not expect it to be authorizing someone to charge the account. Everyone should be aware that when they submit credit card information..they are indeed authorizing someone to charge the account..and THAT amount will always be somewhere in the fine print.

Either way..on all accounts this site is a scam and it will in due time be shut down. I suggest anyone who is promised or refund or waiting for a refund not to wait. Start gathering evidence of the fraud by printing out all the reports against this site and submit it to your bank with request of a charge back due to fraud..ask the bank to check this sites charge back history, and demand the bank reverse the charges. If you wait too long..this site will do what swipebids/swipeauctions did and promise everyone refunds..delay and delay it with reasons and excuses..then inform everyone that they are shutting down and no refunds are being given. I can guarantee you this is what will happen eventually.

It was in the terms and conditions...

This is why it is very important for you to read and understand the terms and conditions of any promotion before accepting it. I am uploading two images that I originally posted in another Price Shuffle thread. The first one has two arrows. The first arrow points to a bit of text that says you will pay $150. The other arrow points to a link leading to PriceShuffle's terms and conditions.

The second image is of the terms and conditions. I circled the part where it says you will purchase a bid package when you complete registration and enter payment information.

At least you got a thank you.  I got an email stating that they were charging me 149.75.  They have sent me an email stating that in 3-5 days I would get a refund.  I guess I will wait and see.  The bank told me that because they have sent me a refund receipt, and I don't receive it, I can absolutely file charges of fraud.  Has anyone out there received a refund.  If I do....I will update and let you know.
