I was blocked from making a post on Reddit

AUTHOR: Amanda - (United States)

POSTED: Monday, January 17, 2022

I know exactly how you feel! I tried to make a post on Reddit on a sub reddit called Glitch in the matrix. I thought it was interesting and decided to post an experience. I spent about two days preparing my post. I re-edited, corrected grammar, corrected phrases, and made sure my post abided by the rules of the subreddit! After proofreading, I uploaded my experience to the subreddit "Glitch in the matrix".

I thought it had posted. So I blew out my candle and went to bed. The next morning I woke up and received a message from the subreddit moderator saying that my post was removed because it conflicts with the "ideas and ideology of the moderator". I was shocked! So I sent a message to Reddit admin. I received a message saying "Each subreddit has its own rules as to what is accepted on their threads." I replied saying I followed the rules before posting, and it's not right that I can't post my experience.

I received another message saying "Reddit already has writers to create the posts that you're interested in" I took that to mean that Reddit hires writers to create fictional stories that are then posted as true stories or glitch in the matrix stories by the average subscriber! Apparently the so called "true stories" are NOT true stories but are fictional stories created by professional writers hired by Reddit! Many of the stories on the subreddit appear to be professionally written with very few grammar mistake!

I wondered why it seemed that the average subscriber used a high vocabulary ,and always seemed to use the correct punctuation, verbs, adjectives, pronouns, etc. Well, after I received that message that Reddit already has writers to create the stories I'm interested in" That was enough to make me delete my account!
