Sedona Beauty Secrets I signed up through another website and was to only pay shipping and handling and $1.25 fee. I received email message from my bank that my account was -92$. + Why my bank even allowed this much to get taken is beyond me. We were all under the impression that it was a 30 day trial. I look on website and it has that its an 8 day trial and you get billed from that day. I spoke with customer service today and she told me 15 days. If that's the case I don't even have it that long. I told her I was sending product back she said didn't matter, it's past the 15 day trial. Website states if it's opened and you return it, they will charge you $19.36 for damage. I'm not happy with it at all. Henderson, NV nationwide

I wanted to try, I did and it was suppose to be a trial of 30 days. Called customer service and was told 15 days, I didn't even have it 15 days and they charged me the $94.13 to my bank credit/debit card. I am now in a hole. I told the lady I was returning the product and she said wouldn't matter. So in other words I don't have product and no money. This company needs to also train their CSA better because they all have different stories. I also told her that I was contacting my bank to have the charge removed

These "trial" purchases are a subscription based service

AUTHOR: FloridaNative - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 07, 2016

Whenever you see a "trial", especially for personal care products, they are a subscription based service. The problem with that is that the company then continues to send you the product and continues to charge you monthly (or bi-monthly) or whatever the term specified in their terms and conditions on sign-up.

It is up to you to contact your bank or your credit card to cancel the subscription service in addition to contacting the company to which you subscribed.  Make sure you read the terms and conditions so you can cancel exactly the way they require.

My personal opinion is that this type of marketing is deceptive. I fell for it once a few years ago and had difficulty getting the "service" canceled.  Ultimately I was able to cancel, but it was costly. Since that time, I never even look at any product that has a "free trial" period as there is 'no such thing as a free lunch' - in the end you pay and pay for it.  I have also found out these subscription based services are treated differently by credit card issuers too.  Good luck in getting the cancellation right away.
