Snagajob Suspicious questions in order to register Internet
*Consumer Comment: EMPLOYERS WHO POST JOBS OBLINE: LISTEN UP!
*Consumer Comment: Job postings with no date, no response from any company
After dealing with Network Careers, I've become very suspicious of sites that require too much personal information in order to register. I ceased the process at this site (snagajob) when they asked me my birth date in order to register. They also wanted to know my ethnic background. Why? I responed to a retail/warehouse position listed on Craig's List and got sent to this site. Do not automatically send your resume to any company listed on Craig's List unless you are absolutely sure who you are dealing with. It raises a red flag for me if they can't give the name of their business.

EMPLOYERS WHO POST JOBS OBLINE: LISTEN UP!

craigslist.com, snagajob.com , almost ANY employer who posts jobs online.
The list goes on and on...
It is like putting your application down a dark hole.
Are there CIA or Nigerian scammers or Terrorists wanting to use my resume to get a job and use my name????????
WHAT IS HAPPENING TO MY RESUME?
I SAW A JOB AD ON CRAIGSLIST AUSTIN THAT LISTED THE NAME OF A COMPANY. I WENT TO THE WEBSITE AND THEN I SAW THE LINK ON THE JOB AD ALLEGEDLY FOR THE SAME COMPANY THAT TAKES YOU TO SURVEY MONKEY. ON THE ORIGINAL CORPORATE JOB SITE, YOU JUST SEND IN YOUR RESUME AND THE ADDRESSES ARE DIFFERENT.
WHEN I FILL OUT INFORMATION ON THE INTERNET, I USE WHATEVER DATE OF BIRTH I FEEL LIKE USING BECAUSE ONCE THE CROOKS HAVE YOUR DATE OF BIRTH THEY CAN FIND OUT ALL KINDS OF THINGS ABOUT YOU.
I GIVE A POST OFFICE BOX AS MY ADDRESS AND A NON-RESISTANT HOME PHONE NUMBER AND USE A THROW AWAY EMAIL ADDRESS AND SOmetimes a fake name.
Just to see.
It is getting to the point I AM VERY SUSPICOUS AND PARANOID OF RESPONDING TO E-MAIL ANYTHING!

Job postings with no date, no response from any company
AUTHOR: Jane - (U.S.A.)

I have responded to about a dozen job postings on Snagajob. I don't understand why they require so much personal information to sign up. The postings are mainly retail/customer service/food service jobs- JC Penney's, Boston Market, etc. The problem I have is that there is no posting date, so there is no way of knowing how old the listing is. The company may not be hiring, just taking applications. I have not gotten a single call from any company I applied to through Snagajob. Yet, they have dozens of positions listed. I wonder if this is really a legitimate site?
