Three C's Auto Body Unscrupulous business practices columbus ohio

This company is a total scam!!   The negative reviews and scam alerts are real and if you take you car in for repairs be prepared for this experience.

Drop you car off and ask for an estimate.  They will require you to sign and agreement that will force you to leave your car and offer you a rental car.  

It will take days to get the estimate and they will not return your calls either the shop manager or the GM Frank.

After an insurance adjuster comes out and gives an estimate ,they will create their own estimate that will be greatly higher and include cost not associated with the repairs that any insurance company will refuse to pay.

If you disagree with Three C's estimate and repairs an want to remove your car they become aggressive and demanding of the following payments.

And take notice that they will charge you these regardless if you car needed them.  Example my car had a small dent in the fender.   They charged for 4 hours of frame alignment, pre and post code reading from the OBD port of 2 hours labor, $100 dollars for photos, Admin fees, .50 hr of labor to disconnect a battery since I guess the door repairs needed to have the battery disconnected.  Storage fees, rental car fees.  Notice no cost associated with that in the contract you signed.   and even a fee for a cover they put on and labor to do it.     And this was before I even approved any work to be performed.

Here is that part of the ridiculous agreement.

(2) a suspension check off $125.00; (3) diagnostic scans up to $400.00; (4) car cover at $15.00 and .5 hours of labor for each use; (5) air conditioning Freon
recovery of $50.00;(6) labor charges for disassembly, repairs, and
re-assembly at the labor rates posted in the facility; (7) parts and materials
at market rates of independent repair shops; (8) photographs at $10.00
each; (9) hazardous waste disposal from $10.00 to $75.00; (10) a prep
pack fee at labor rates (to pack disassembled parts); (11) towing, handling,
and storage at the rate of $50.00 per day beginning the 4th day that the
vehicle is on Three-C's lot and $125.00 per day it; (12) rental vehicle charges
through Interim Leasing, Inc.; (13) the administrative time reasonably
expended by Three-C personnel at the hourly rate

I at any time you question them they will tell you its a certified estimate and that is why insurance companies wont agree to pay.

And be aware that insurance companies will not pay their labor rates as they fall outside the Reasonable and customary avg labor rate in the Columbus area.  Which you can google that fact that it's $50 per hour not the $75 per hour they are charging.  You will be hit with those overages.

One last comment.   They say they will work with the insurance company to get a fair estimate but in fact they know they  are going to leave you with charges you will end up paying and will hold you vehicle hostage only to incur additional storage charges and pay these.

Do yourself a favor and take it to any other body shop in OHIO!!!

I am not an insurance adjuster, body shop employee,  Only a victim that started with an auto accident.     Then a victim of this horrible body shop that tries to lure you in with commercials talking about family (Jade) and quality.    You should know that the family sold to an investment firm in Sept and I can tell you that 4 years ago I had a great experience.  That is no Longer!!
