Ripoff Report Verified™ REVIEW

EDitor's UPDATE: Positive rating and recognition has been given to UMNPA – United Mission for Nonprofits of America for its full commitment to quality customer service.

Ripoff Report's discussions with UMNPA have uncovered an ongoing dedication by the company to total client satisfaction. This means that clients can expect that the company will work towards finding a mutually satisfactory resolution to any concerns. UMNPA listens carefully to client concerns and sees them as an opportunity to learn from past mistakes and become more efficient as a company in the services offered and the support for those services.

UMNPA'S Director, Travis Riley, has informed us that his personal philosophy is that having a philanthropic objective as a way of life is a path to always give back to the community that has given so much for all of us. As a successful philanthropist, Mr Riley feels it is always imperative to grow your philanthropic side based on helping other people succeed. By always putting his cause first, Mr. Riley is confident that UMNPA will continue to gain individual donor and Corporate support for our Veteran and Military community.

Another Board Member, (CFO) Richard Clark Underwood told us that "Mr. Riley's dedication and compassionate approach to the cause and community is unparalleled to industry standards and i will be proud to serve next to Mr. Riley as an advisor for years to come." UMNPA's Richard Clark Underwood says "we are the only Veteran and Military support 501c3 Public Charity in Southern California that has programs that give these men and woman a path to regain control of their lives and reacclimatize back into society. Our continued support from our Donors and Corporate Sponsors will make a noticeable change in the care our Veterans receive today."

One of the things Ripoff Report learned in the course of its review is that typical Donor feedback is important to UMNPA and their staff and they are dedicated to improving their commitment to their Donors.

The information provided in this report below is based on comments made by Travis Riley and Indigo Allendor during an onsite inspection held by a third-party verification company with no biases towards United Mission for Nonprofits of America.

United Mission For Nonprofits of America is a Veteran and Military support non-profit. They provide Military support programs as well as specializing in Veteran rehabilitation. Indigo Allendorf stated the following about his company, "we are opening a treatment center for veterans that treat dual diagnosis, PTSD, and traumatic brain injury along with substance abuse disorder. We do a welcome home program for veterans and their family. We help veterans and their family defray the cost of establishing a home when they might otherwise be in a homeless situation." Travis Riley added, "we also have a care association trust that was formed from our organization that provides veterans with adequate health insurance to get rehabilitation for mental disabilities such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, TBI, and other disorders that lead to substance abuse. UMNPA treatment, behavioral health, and detox centers. We detox for substance abuse, and treat the underlying costs after that."

United Mission For Nonprofits is a 501C3 public charity. Their main focus is raising money and awareness in surrounding communities through corporate sponsorships. Mr. Riley further explained the process, "to fund our Welcome Home program and our Care Association Trust which again provides insurance to veterans that need adequate insurance to get adequate treatment. The insurance that is provided to them through the VA only covers a 7-14 day stay in a hospital and then they are back out on the street. It costs a minimum of $224,000 to treat a minor case of PTSD and the Medicare equivalent insurance doesn’t cover that. Like Indigo said we raise money for our Welcome Home program which defrays the cost of a veteran to establish a home after they come out of a rehabilitation program. We raise money through the 501C3 for that for our programs. The veteran rehab center, how we gain clients for that, is we get them from the community, other organizations. We network with those people and with the courts." Patients who enter the program will receive varying levels of treatment in correlation to their addiction. The typical treatment consists of detox for 5 to 7 days and residential treatment for 21 days. Mr. Riley elaborated on the process, "basically, we educate them on what is happening to them, why their life is the way that it is, and then as soon as the residential treatment is over they go into an intensive outpatient program. We have networks of outpatient programs with vocational rehabilitation so they can find jobs after the residential treatment and re-integrate back into society the right way."

CUSTOMER CARE & COMPLAINT RESOLUTION – UNITED MISSION FOR NONPROFITS OF AMERICA

During the on-site interview, Mr. Riley and Mr. Allendorf were asked to describe a situation where a client was not satisfied with the level of service they received. Mr. Riley stated that they have yet to receive complaints, "we have not had any patients that are dissatisfied. Before this, we ran an assisted living. We had a counselor on call and we had different veterans that would contact our organization and I would refer them to Doug, the Ph.D. in Behavioral Health, and he’s helped them in counseling settings. We have taken veterans in homeless settings that we brought off the street for months at a time until they got on their feet. We get cars donated all the time, we donate a car and help them find a job. Now we are licensed by the state to do residential treatment. Now we are taking it to the next level. We are actually housing them and rehabilitating them at the same time."

When asked to comment on complaints posted on Ripoff Report's website Mr. Allendorf expressed that the comments were personal attacks and false statements made by fundraisers, "the majority of them are disgruntled fundraisers that worked for us. They weren’t employees. They had to be let go for behavior problems of their own and they were mad because they had to be let go. They were young people and they don’t always act right. Problems with violence or drugs." In order to further assure future and current clients, United Mission for Nonprofits of America is registered with the IRS and the State of California.

When asked what type of changes they have made to honor their commitment to making things right with the consumer per the request of Ripoff Report, Mr. Riley and Mr. Allendorf explained that their company is growing at a rapid rate which demands innovation and upkeep. Since they have no real complaints against their company the focus is on improving their already high standards.

Patent Services USA is proud to be a part of Ripoff Reports Corporate Advocacy Business Remediation and Customer Satisfaction Program, "I think the third-party review process is amazing. The reason I think it’s amazing, it shows the public from a third party non-biased opinion who we really are. And you guys will go on there and say, you guys went out to their offices, checked their credentials on the IRS, checked the rehab home, saw their office." Mr. Allendorf additionally added, "it’s one thing for us to go on there say it isn’t true and show them, but for a third party to go on and say they saw the office. We saw the facility, we saw the office, we looked them up on the IRS website and they are a legitimate charity. We’ve seen their paperwork and facilities and it's really there. The public can’t argue with it."

This organization, preyed on my grand daughter, and two friends, promising them, an opportunity, to make money, while helping the homeless veterans. They traveled, from Tennessee, to Anaheim california, where UMNPA, housed them, in a house, located at Anaheim california. They are taken out, every morning, 6 days a week, and dropped in neighboring cities, where they are told, they must raise, $600, a day. They are dropped in pairs, of 2. They are picked up, at the end of the day, and if they have not, raised the $600. they are yelled at, and be-littled. My grand daughter and 2 friends, were there 2 weeks. The end of the second week, they were put out on the streets, because they didn't collect enough money. They were told, they would get a commission, of all donations, but were put out, no money, no food, no place to live. Indigo Aldenorf, the founder, actually, trains them, how to talk, and how to prey on people, by saying, this money goes to help, the homeless veterans. The house, where they house the workers, is used as a front. They use the same address, in their advertizements, saying, it is a new, Homeless veteran Home, they just opened. Check out their facebook page, and you will see what I am talking about. They have no business license on file, for Anaheim california. It says home office 1933 South broadway Suite 1100 Los Angeles, Then it says they have an office at 620 Newport Center drive Suite 1100 newport Beach california. Notice, each address has the same suite number.

Illegal activity, supplied to underage workers at the Housing Unit.

Mis-represention the American People using the Veterans as a ploy.

Scamming the IRS, Not reporting, how much is used for pesonal finances
