Wegmans Markets refused to accept an item for return without a store "club card". king of prussia, Pennsylvania

Purchased an item at store. Brought item back the next day with store receipt and was told I could not return the item without presenting my "Wegmans Club" card. I refused stating that I did not need a club card to purchase the item and there were no notices stating all sales are final unless purchased with a club card.

I stated that the store was open to the public and required no membership to purchase items and felt they had no right to refuse the item for return. I was told that they would "make an exception this time but in the future would not accept returns".
