Wild Bill advertises quite a few items. For instance he advertises a "Deluxe treasure chest of old collectible coins". In the description he "Garantees" you will receive certain coins .... well you don't !! When you contact him ...you get a response that "we were out of that particular coin so we substitued another coin " ...usually of lesser value than the described coin or coins.

What Really happened... they aren't telling the truth

First of all.... the item purchased was a part of a group of items we bought totalling almost $200 and WildBill had a promotion at the time for free shipping for items purchased over a certain amount. This order was placed long before Christmas in plenty of time to have received for Christmas. The Treasure Chest of Coins was a Christmas present for a relative. The Wild Bill Purchase arrived AFTER Christmas.
On the Wild Bill site, there is a "Guarantee" on the coin description. It basically says you are "Guaranteed" certain coins in certain conditions. I had purchased the Deluxe Treasure Chest. I invite everyone to go read the "Guarantee". Now, not only did the coins NOT arrive by Christmas but upon examination by a reputable numismatist, the coins were very lacking as far as the description on Wild Bill's web site. Although there were a few nice coins, quite a few were so worn as to make them nearly unrecognizable. Also, a Barber Dime was missing that was "guaranteed".
I wrote Wild Bill and told them that a Barber Dime was missing and got a very short and curt reply ( of which I have the copy) in an email... that they were out of Barber dimes ( even though they sell these Barber dimes elsewhere on the website in other groups) and so they substituted. WildBill states that they substituted other coins... for the Barber Dime... they didn't ...they substitued a Mercury Dime that was very obviously worn. There was never an offer of a replacement. I have the Email WildBill .....and a copy was sent to the BBB by the way.
The letter said and I quote: " Good Morning, I have spoken with the owner. He informed me that he sent you the 2 Mercury Dimes in place of the out of stock Barber Coin. ( one Mercury Dime was supposed to be in the group anyway) Thank you and have a nice day." Signed A** Sales Manager , the Wild Bill Team.
I called and left a message to them with no response. After reviewing the substandard coins again, I decided to file a BBB dispute. The BBB in Georgia ( their home state) sent several letters to Wild Bill Wholesale with no response. Furthermore, I offered, in the BBB complaint to send the Mercury Dime back for the guaranteed Barber Dime. The BBB kept me apprised of the lack of correspondence. So, I filed a dispute with my Credit card company who cancelled the $99 part of the payment.
When Wild Bill discovered the chargeback, I got a very rude and curt call from a Wild Bill representative who said in a voice mail that they wanted the Treasure Chest to be sent back. They NEVER sent UPS labels or anything such as that to my residence. They never called again to my knowledge. I gave the Treasure Chest of coins to a relative as a Christmas present and they weren't available to send back. They NEVER OFFERED TO SEND a Barber Dime. Instead, they were curt and very rude. Bad business !!!! I didn't defraud them... they defrauded me ...they made gurantees in print that they didn't fulfill. Further, they didn't have the professional courtesy to respond to the BBB either.

This Report is not Accurate

This customer purchased our Treasure Chest of Coins. Normally this chest of coins contains (1) Barber Dime. At the time of the order we had just run out of Barber Dimes, so we substituted some other coins for the Barber Dime which had considerably more value. We also put a note in the customer's box explaining the situation and noting that we would be sending the Barber Dime when we received a new shipment.
This customer proceeded to file a chargeback on her credit card for the entire $99.97 she paid for the item, and the entire sum of $99.97 was refunded to her by the credit card. She did NOT return the item to us, despite the fact she received a full refund and despite the fact that on 2 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS we sent her prepaid UPS return labels so that she could return the item to us at no charge to her. So this customer currently has all the money she paid for the Treasure Chest of Coins, as well as the entire item. She will not answer our telephone calls, emails, and ignored the prepaid return labels we sent to her.
We would love to resolve this amicably however this customer has refused to cooperate with us, apparently being satisfied with getting "Something for nothing" and in fact has ripped us Wild Bill Wholesale
